Thats pretty awsome! thanks man!

Can civilians attend Blackwater courses? It just seems like that learning the tricks of the trade would be a pretty awesome vacation.

Think we could get an ASC group rate? :D

Civilians can per-say. I dont have their page up infront of me right now but if I am not mistaken you must be an American citizen and have served somthing like 3 years in the armed forces (or 3 years in special forces, I forget which and am too lazy to check) so in truth no you really cant.

BloodSport May 19th, 2006 07:57

I'm sure that if you offered enough $$, they'd hold a weekend course for you. But probably looking at a lot of $$$$$$$$

Thats the nice thing about Mercenary forces, they always have a final price tag.

Blackthorne May 19th, 2006 08:39

Blackwater does have civilian courses, but I have not heard back from them yet in regards to access to Non US citizens.

Prices are very reasonable and they will even feed and bunk you for a few extra dollars. NOT more expensive than your average vacation down south and one hell of allot more fun if you are into firearms.

There are training options in Canada as well. Just a little harder to find, but allot less paperwork LMAO

MadMorbius May 19th, 2006 09:52

Blackwater has a Canadian affiliate. I don't recall the name, but I'll find it.

Drake May 19th, 2006 11:27

With regards to the original post, I wonder if the Blackwater trademark was officially sanctioned (it'd be kinda interesting if it was)... plus honestly, I'd be more worried about pissing off a merc outfit than the RIAA/MPAA for copyright/trademark infringement :P haha

The Urban Warfare Center part of Opgear, I have read some good thing about them. They do us Tippman A5/98s but the do use airsoft and simulation rounds (not sure what there called).

Gato May 19th, 2006 20:21

Now THAT is nice enough for me to entertain the idea of getting an Armalite!

Shinjin_MC May 22nd, 2006 00:33
