Headset Under Impact Sport Earpro

I am looking to get some comms for airsoft and don't want to spend too much money. I have had bad experiences in the past purchasing the knock-off Sordins that are a 50/50 if they work or not. I need decent comms, that plug into a freq radio or two-way, but I don't want to sacrifice Earpro at the same time.

I've seen a lot of guys wearing the Impact Sport Earpro but they do not have comms capabilities. I was thinking about buying a throat mic or other small microphone with an earpiece that could fit under the Impact Sport.

Does anyone have experience with a set up like this? Will it work, or what are my other options?

HL Impact Pro's have comms in them.
You run something like a shoulder mic from your radio and then from the shoulder mic to the HL's

I run impacts with a male to male headphone jack to a radio, and keep the radio on my shoulder for its mic. Works for now.

Thanks guys! When you plug in the lapel mic to the headset, does the noise amplification feature still work?

Yes sir

Thanks! I will definitely do this setup for the foreseeable future.

I also run the HL set up. Devils advocate tho, the PTT washes out the headset sometimes from the EM interference.
That's with this set up:
Baofeng UV-5R, Howard Leights and Retevies 2 pin PTT

I have mine set up radio to hand mic and hand mic into the Howard Leights. I made a cable that goes from unbalanced 3.5mm to Balanced 3.5mm. The output of the hand mic is an Unbalanced female jack (mono 3.5mm)

Using just a stereo or (balanced) 3.5mm male to male, the signal will come out of one side of the headset only. My way you can hear coms in both ears. Kind of a stereo cheat but not stereo. Still mono.
