Holster/Suppressor project
I'm starting a new project, which will hopefully become part of my main gear. So basically what I'm doing is a suppressed pistol in a Safariland, or similar, holster. So far Safariland has the setup I want, or very close to it. The issue is the suppressor sticking my out the end of the holster. My game play style is a lot of bang, run, fall, crawl, etc, so I don't want the suppressor to bend/break.
So I have two questions. The first is; is there a short-ish, quick detach suppressor for a pistol that has foam in it? The second; has anyone found a way to protect their suppressor while in the holster, either by creating a kydex shroud, or by some other means? Thanks. |
How about no?
How about an integral suppressor like the SOCCOM gear Oasis? How about a shoulder holster? How about saying what model of pistol you have now? |
the QD option/issue is that it adds some weight as you either have to screw on a can or mount a m4 flash hider.

It's a TM MK23 Socom. I want the suppressor on for instant silence.

Some sort of massive reinforced kydex scabbard would be about all you could hang off your hip for that monstrosity.
Otherwise LBT and Wilcox have made them if you want to go down that rabbit hole. |
If a QD flash hider CAN be threaded to 16mm to fit the socom, I've got a tap to re-thread it.
I would go with a screw on type quick connect. The madbull QD and KAC style tend to be a bit loose and wobble a bit. Unless you get a unicorn combo of flash hider and suppressor that fits perfectly. Something like an AAC would be perfect. |
