AK to M4 Stock adaptor.

Anyone know a in canada that has stock?

Thanks.

Why you want to switch to M4 stock?

Chromey November 7th, 2016 14:33

The AK stock is WAY to short

BobbyDangerous November 10th, 2016 19:07

Really? Think an M4 collapsed is way shorter. Think the AK stock is like an m16 fixed stock

Infantryman November 10th, 2016 20:44

What type of ak? I might have one

Drake November 10th, 2016 20:48

You can put a UBR on it if you need a lot of extra length

No, an AK stock is noticeably shorter than a full length M16 stock. Blame the difference in average statures of an American vs a Russian during the cold war.

That is false. Its to accomodate heavy winter clothing

Source?

BobbyDangerous November 11th, 2016 18:59

It's basically a 2" difference.

Try for yourself; dress to prepare for a -15° evironment and try to shoulder a fully extended stock and then bring it in to a 'standard' AK length.
There is no "source" for either side of the argument except for Bubbas in the States who think that Russia is full of midgets.

Note that in Yugoslavia (where the winters are obviously not as severe as in Russia), the LOP was in between the "NATO" length and the WP length.

You can find for yourself the accounts of how smaller conscripts were funneled into being tank crew rather than infantry so this idea that the whole Warsaw Pact armed forces were 6" shorter is ridiculous.

Its about 4" short for me.... -15 Im still not wearing 4" of clothing.

Also the use of thick Winter coats

They made the Mosin and SVT-40 Pretty Long

But then afterwards for the PPS, PPSH-41 and SKS-45 they made them much shorter.

Could also be resource concerns hence also a cyclic rate reducer on the Kalashnikov weapon systems.
