Upgrading my JG G36C
 

Anyone know a good V3 gearbox that will fit a JG G36C? I'm looking to upgrade my entire gearbox.

Well I suppose I want to replace the spur gear. Any sites that might sell one that would fit the JG G36C?

It's a standard part, nothing special. You can buy and entire gear set for as under $50. Some retailers do sell seperate gears though it's pretty rare.

So you want to replace the entire gearbox because the spur gear is bad?
That doesn't make much sense.

I'll sell you a spur gear (I think I have one) for $5 or $10.

Generally if your replacing one gear, you need to replace the whole set, not every brand cuts their gears the same way. So in short, yes it would fit in the gun, no it likely wont work as it wont be compatible with the gear set currently in the gun, unless the gun has a modify gear set already installed.

Ok and just wondering, i'm looking at gear sets and it says things like 13:1, 100:200, etc. What do these mean and are there any specific gear sets I should pick up?

Y'know, if you don't know what you're doing, or what you're looking for (or at), may I suggest contacting your local gundoc and engaging his services? It would probably save you a ton of guessing, frustration, and money (in parts that may/may not play well together).

Just a suggestion.

thats the ratio, 13:1 basicly means it takes 13 revolutions of your motor to cycle the piston once. look for something in the 18:1 to 22:1 ratio. Modify highspeed gears are about that. as are king arms torque gears. the lower the first number the higher rate of fire, the higer they are lets you pull heavier springs.

the easiest most pain free way of doing your gearset is the modify smooth series, they are pre shimed, come with the bushings, and anti-reversal latch. they only need to be droped in and away you go, definately worth the 100$ price tag. especially if you have no idea what you are doing with the insides of a gearbox. you will probly need a 6mm set for your gearbox.
