Not sure about that satchel. But the type 63 chest rig I don't think was used and THAT beard :P.

Rubber Ho chi minh sandals!!!!

Looks great so far, are you trying to use your ak as a jungle made VC gun?

Pacman.Qc May 24th, 2012 01:25

First is a chinese red star satchel of ww2 replica and the rig is a sks chicom...

For the ak just give me time to get one proper for now i just have my beta...

Roll twine or leather on the front part to cover the wood and possibly part of the front and it could be like a crudely modded/welded AK made in an underground factory.
Or not... it's still a cool impression. Especially with the angry face.

Good start to the Vietcong look, some suggestions for authenticity, beside the Rifle, which you could fix easily with any TM compatible AK-47 front end.

Chest Rig is a Type 63 Chest rig, which is a Hybrid AK - SKS rifle with small 20 round magazines. The chestrig would be 1963 vintage. A 3 Cell Type 56 chest rig would be more authentic.

Shoulder bag

A unmarked green or tan shoulder bag would be realistic, as the ones with red stars and chairman mao one them are modern commercial variations.

or

but a Kingarm CIDG canvas back would also be a nicer substitute.

A NVA or Chinese Waist belt would be used to keep the canteen and shoulder bag from being tangled.

Good job not using a nón lá ( Cone hat) They where never used in a combat zone.

I spy a modern ruck, will let the SVD slide it's not like any of us want to use the Zeta labs Mosin sniper rifle, against automatic weapons.
