Replica Guns

I'll keep this simple, very new here and without disrespecting anyone I have no interest in shooting airsoft guns. I am interested in owning replicas of guns (seems so far airsoft is the only way) however they are quite pricey for something that will essentially be collected.

Any options here? looking for an HK 416 and MP5 at the moment. Please point me in the right direction.

I ask this because I want to know if its worth taking the time to get AVed.

if its only for collecting you could easily go with low ends replica but they will more than likely be clear so you'll have to paint them.

you could find those model around 300$ each

these are the only way to have ''replicas'' in canada since it is illegal to have replicas. Those are able to wound people so they are not considered replicas while being almost identical to their real steel counterparts.

thanks for the reply. I have been scouring the web for 416 airsofts and I think the cheapest I found was $480 or so, is it worth getting AVed to see what else there is available?

There is a small but active collector community here, well worth your time to get AV'd.

Unfortunately we won't help you obtain airsoft until you have an AV tag. This is to keep airsoft out of the hands of minors and to protect our sport.

Thanks for understanding.

If you get AV'd you'll be able to find quite a few MP5s and 416s on the market. If you watch the classifieds for a week or two you'll see them go by at various price points and quality levels. For what it's worth, the Umarex MP5 is absolutely wonderful. Shoots, feels, and looks like a million bucks. If you were lazy, you could easily find the G&G non-Umarex, non-trades versions of these as well, but if you're patient you'll find the good stuff.

Get AV'd as quick as you can and re-post in the age-restricted part of the forum.

If it's just a display piece there are .177 MP5's available in Canada for dirt cheap too.

MP5K PDW: http://www.dlairgun.com/Air-Rifles/Heckler-Koch/

I'm 99% sure I've seen a standard .177 MP5-A2 or something like that but I can't recall exactly where.

As for the 416 I have no clue but Anschutz makes an "AiR-15" that's more like a M16 than anything. Only problem is that you can't really modify it since the handguard has a CO2 tank in there. Your best bet other than that is probably to get AV'ed and snatch one up. Hell, if it's just for show then buy a broken one and have it up on your wall or whatever.

Mach1Airsoft is definitely a reputable Canadian airsoft retailer. I have that exact HK416 in question. It is the best HK416 on the market at the moment, and is licensed by H&K. You can definitely get a better price in the AV classifieds though. There is actually one for sale right now.

SuperCriollo December 14th, 2011 00:29

If you are going for realism, you best bet is getting a GBB (gas blowback rifle). WE makes a pretty decent 416, you may want to take a look at it.

I am in the process of getting AVed. This is more for a collection I jsut want to be sure I can customize it with grips and sights. Also If you do not mind I would love to see some pics of your's so I get an idea of what an actual one looks like then a standard pic of Umarex's site.
