Black eye for airsoft
 

I was just at the Barrie zombie walk, hoping not to see any retards with their airsoft guns in public, I wasn't so lucky. What is wrong with these players, it's bad enough that we have issues with keeping airsoft out of the media in a negative way but it seems like these guys go out of their way to ruin the sport for everyone else that does what they are supposed to with airsoft guns and that is treat them like real steel guns due to the realism.....Do not show up at a zombie walk with you aeg, loaded with empty mags and batteries in, that's right these retards were dry firing their guns in public, pointing them at civilians! The moron didn't even understand me yelling at him "what the hell are you doing you retards" from across the road during the zombie walk (this is when they were dry firing at civilians, just dumbassery in general) he thought I didn't know where to go "telling me to follow them but go around", these colossal idiots shouldn't have airsoft guns.

That's right I'm a player and easily recognize these guns.
My team and I wouldn't even conceive of anything so idiotic, anyone who's played with us knows this. We struggle so hard to keep our sport, players have to step up to the plate and get these idiots out of public view!

Wear your loadout if you wish but leave the guns at home, you're not helping the community at all. I could have gone to the papers with this but I don't trust the media, at least here everything stays as I write it!

For at least 5 years now, random people talk to me about airsoft. Before that, I would mention it and no one knew about it.

I had brought up the subject to them and they said the cops have seen the guns and didnt care.

I had bought plastic toy guns for the walk and opted to leave them in the car.

still you have nice pics of a 69 barracuda!! the rest is just pain to my eye....

don't even point any type of gun/replica/paintball/nerf/airsoft/bbgun/ at me or anyone else, even in a zombie walk, those guys are "high" on something but surely not on airsoft.......

However this problem can be sorted internally, by the community itself. But yes I don't think they thought this over at all. Sometimes common sense isn't so common.

In the end people will do what they want, regardless of how ignorant and ill advised it is. All we can do is set a good example and hope if rubs off.

Anybody can purchase airsoft without being on ASC.
Yesterday I met an airsofter that wasn't even aware that ASC exists...

Masada had battery in was marked with green tape, USP side arm marked with green tape and holstered, shotgun clear and left in vest

M4 had battery in marked with green tape, shotgun left in vest

MP5K was a toy dart gun from the dollar store.
No mp7 present

G36 was orange tipped

P90's were orange tipped

Each person involved in this issue has been spoken to regarding this
I am not condoning these actions.

so I guess it's reach that point where even the authorities don't care.....This just flat out encourages the idiots such as these ones.....

dumbassery is in every sport, airsoft is no exception.
As a community we deal with them.

The idea for a weapons check has been submitted to the Organizers.
Barrie Zombie Walk may be a weapons free zone next year.

Also I'd like to add, the airsoft guns where not the only issue brought up to the Organizers.
There was a man walking around with a real farmers Sickle.

we spend years freaking out on people who make mistakes like this and now, it's perfectly acceptable....oh my........

mp7 was present I saw it, granted not part of that crew, I don't like to see guns in public period because I don't want to lose the sport, apathy isn't the way to go....There should be a certain responsibility to be better than the rest.
