G36C Conversion to KV
 

So I want to convert my JG G36C into a G36KV or at least a CV.

So far, I've found the parts and things that I need to convert to a G36K. My problem is that I cannot find a KV stock....the one that is retractable and foldable. So if anyone has found it, could you throw me a bone? That would be very helpful, thanks.

The stock is also called a "G36 Sniper stock"

There is also the idZ stock and this one, which I believe is the "new style" KV stock:

I have a G&P "Sniper stock" as well as a WE IdZ stock on a couple of my G36s. Of the two types, I much prefer the IdZ stock, and plan to put them on all my G36/G39 rifles.

Wait......did you put the WE idZ stock on a G36 other than the WE one? If you did, what mods were needed?

The stock on debrief picture is the KV3, I have the RS on the G36 right now and H&K puts it on every V serie now. They also have a new top rail with fix iron sight (KA4 I think) but it's pretty much impossible to find.
ARES put it on their G36s but I'm no longer a fan of them...
The G&P with cheeck rest is KV version 2

I've got both the G&P "V" stock and the WE iDz stock in stock! The WE stock fits AEG's no problem. You do have to use G&P special battery for this stock if you want to fold it unless you go with a lipo.

I've put a WE IdZ stock on my Ares G36C. Other than having to slightly bore out the hinge hole, and doing a minor amount of filing, the fit was pretty much bang on.

Here's how the combination looks:

Whoa! Nice gun! That pic is steering me towards a idZ stock now simply because it looks killer! Almost like an XM8! And from what I'm seeing, the idZ appears to be cheaper than the G&P V stock.....

So the prices that I am seeing right now are:
$65 for the WE idZ stock and rail combo
$65 for the SRC V Stock
$75 for the G&P stock......

Of course money is an issue, but I just see more use in the G&P one or the SRC one....although that is rather irrelevant because I'm going to go buy more batteries anyways and just haven't decided yet.....so which one should I get? /endrant

Something else to consider: when you buy a WE IdZ stock, you also get the latest version of the flat G36 top rail, which incorporates folding iron sights. That's a WE top rail on my Ares. The two items together make a slick combination.

a little off track, but what are the g36 custom grip/stock combos called? i assume its a g36, but it has a trigger/stock similar to a bullpup or p90's

You're probably thinking of a related firearm called the HK SL8. Here's what some versions of it look like:

No question, it looks fantastic, but more importantly it has added functionality too. The cheek height adjustment is a huge plus when sighting through a scope like my big Elcan there.
