Steyr Aug A3
 

Has anyone seen this new Aug A3? I think it's pretty damn slick looking and would make a worthy airsoft project.
Looking at it makes me think that that an Airsoft version wouldn't be that hard to do at a quick glance the following would be needed to the civilian version:
-G36C Top rail to mod onto the body.
-Removal of forward grip.
The hardest part is that Ris system though, as nothing exists for Ris (Short of the shadow kits which don't fit the bill here) I'm thinking that maybe an MP5K or similar RIS system could be adapted and modded to fit. A little bondo and plastic and voila it's done.

Anyone know if the accessorie manufactures are making mod kits?

Wouldn't be hard to do if you can bear to destroy an AUG reciever. :(

I don't like that huge front grip on that A3, just too big. But I do like the rds or whatever it is, very slick.

the grip is a surefire tac light system
i bet is it s bolt on accessory. And the rds is a eotech if i am not mistaken.

i cannot believe how gorgeous that a3 assault rifle is. holy frick, i wanted to make the xm8 but now im really having second thoughts... that is just too beautiful.

That's a beautiful rifle. Wasn't that in Alone in the Dark with Tara Ried and Christian Slater? I thoguht it was an Aug, but it didn't look like one.
