MAX Series mods?
Hey everyone, this is my first post on here so bear with me,
I'm looking to buy my second AEG. My first was a full metal M240 that I had while living in the states for university. I sold it before I came back to Canada. Now I like how the G&G MAX series has full metal construction as far as the receiver but the FPS just seems way too high to be usable. Any way to reduce it? Thanks in advance. |
Yes, change the spring. You want either a M90 or M100. If you want to use it outside exclusively then a M110 max.

Sounds good, is that a simple procedure or would I be better off taking it to a professional?
|
I think its pretty simple, but if you are asking you are better off to take it to a gun doc, that way your next post won't be:
HELP I've taken my gun apart and can't get it back together!!! It won't take em more than 20 min. max to change a spring out. I suggest you watch and see how it is done. |
G&G max guns come with the original m100 spring in a bag for you to put in. I think the spring that's in the gun is a m150

I would suggest you crono your gun first to see where you stand.
While the crono I was using is a bit suspect, my new MAX came in below 400fps. It had great range and accuracy so I didn't bother to mess with it (yet). No regrets or complaints though. For the money, it is a great gun out of the box. |
Or you can just get age verified and buy something that doesn't shoot insanely fast.
