Light load bearing gear help

I'm back looking for advice on chest rigs and the like. I've found three options the might work for me.

1. Voodoo tactical Universal Equipment Vest (OD) (http://www.surpluspontrouge.com/en/m...nt-vest/black/)
2. Condor Modular Chest Rig 1 (Coyote Brown/Tan) (http://www.surpluspontrouge.com/en/m...-1/coyote-tan/)
3. Condor Battle Belt and Harness ( Coyote Brown/Tan) (http://www.surpluspontrouge.com/en/m...e-/coyote-tan/ and http://www.surpluspontrouge.com/en/m...ss/coyote-tan/)

The MRC1 (RRV) has lots of MOLLE and is like what I already use (CIRAS Land), but I plan on use MBSS hydration backpack using the MOLLE, but the MRC1 don't have any MOLLE on the back. The Battle Belt/Harness is like the lighter ALICE type rig, but I have no experience with that type of rig, so I'm a little if-ee. The Voodoo UEV probably has the most MOLLE real estate, but it doesn't seem right (with lack of a better word) to me.

I suggest a Tactical Tailor Mav2. Very light, great mobility. But make sure you get the X harness for it to. In fact I believe there is one for sale in the classified right now.

its light its simple and its idiot proof, its got no molle but with a set up like this you wont be tempted to add more then you really need.

I looked at rigs like that, but it's three times the price and imported from asia. the three options I found are all in Canada (support your local stores) and I'm on a budget.

Get a SDS FLC, IMO it's a good rig and it is pretty cheap and good quality as it's USGI.

If you have more money to spend a Tactical Tailor 2 piece MAV with X Harness is something else to consider. If you want more PALS/MOLLE real estate get the center adaptor for it.

it also comes in coyote brown

Thanks for all the options, and I guess it's my fault, but I was more looking for "If you had to choose, which one would you choose?" type of thing. I know, kinda spoon feeding, but I'd rather not have to buy five or more rigs to finally find one that's 'perfect' or at least a great base. By the way I AM trying to borrow and try different types of rigs.

1) real gear, not made for airsoft
2) Canadian made
3) holy good price, batman!

Holy good price, Batman, Indeed. I'm looking at the M-2010 Split Front MFR-10 and the M-2010 Shoulder Harness if I can jump on this deal in time.
EDIT: It's ordered, can't wait, first piece of real and quality equipment.

This one WILL serve, but I'm partial to the rhodesian rig you linked earlier (#2 in your original post, the Condor) as I have used it before and still have members on my team that employ it. You can't go wrong with Condor or Pantac - even though they reproduce popular designs instead of really innovating on their own, I would still trust my life to their products.

@Wantabe_Warrior, of the three you suggest I use the battlebelt. At that price you cant miss. I looked at the other vests but wanted something more open so I chose this one:

Sometimes I use both together, sometimes just the battlebelt.

If you want light weight avoid molle, there is allot of extra weight in molle gear just from the ability to remove pouches.

FOX_111 August 24th, 2011 10:49

I think the extra weight of MOLLE gear is waranted by the extra versatility of the rig.

It's not like it's 15 pounds anyway.

2lbs compared to maybe 1lbs max.

http://762tactical.com/chest-rigs.html Great company and they will custom make you a chest rig if you want. I got a custom one and am extremely happy.
