Version 3 Gearbox PITA!!!!!!
How do you people reassemble Version 3 Gearboxes?!?!?!?
I took mine apart to see what its like so I would know when I get my spring and change it, but its a PAIN to get back together.:banghead: Just how do you do it?? The trigger assembly is a PITA! It likes to explode if I don't keep my hand on it...WTF.... So Id like to know HOW THE F you guys manage to assemble/reassemble these things....or if there are any tricks or shortcuts.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR |
Watch the mechbox.com videos. Take your time.
Be glad it's a V3 as it's so much easier than a V2. Most assembly and fitment issues come from clone boxes. Which box are you using? |
i dunno, but it looks like itsa cheapss china copy.....and the trigger assembly doesn't wanna stay in....
Also, thnx for letting me know about mechbox.com, hopefully now it'll be easier.... |
Use a little white lithium grease on the trigger to "hold" it in place while you assemble. It will take you a few tries and you may even need to find someone to help you. I've been doing work on guns for 3 years and I still hate those fucking things...
I really don't see what everyone's issue with the v2 is?! its so simple! |
@dart +1
version 3's are very annoying. v. 2's are much better. i am giving away my secrets here: assemble the gb without the trigger pieces. i like to leave the trigger spring in. then put the trigger in last and screw it down. |
I agree with Dart that V2 looks so simple O.O
In comparison with V3s, they seems so much easier to work on! (Although I have never actually done one myself) So frustrated with this POS V3 gearbox right now.... |
V3 are much more easier to test.
But if parts are jumping at you, most likely a cheap clone box. Kraken? |
The easiest way is to lay the spring in - close your gearbox from the top down, leave enough room for the trigger assembly. Put both pieces together, slide it in, make sure the trigger nub is inside the spring and wiggle it closed. I hope I explained this well enough to follow.
