VSR-10 v-trigger issues

2 Attachment(s)
Just upgraded my pro sniper with a pdi v-trigger and pdi hd cylinder set.

The only problem I'm having, is the 90 degree piston end from the v-trigger is too wide for the cylinder. It won't fit past the threads but everything else fits in fine. The picture shows far it will go in and its just barely too wide.

The second picture has the 90 degree attached to the piston and the 45 next to it.

The only thing I can think of is that they gave me the bore-up v-trigger instead but I don't know if this is a common problem.

You have the bore-up trigger.

I think you can order just the piston end:

Then I'm just going to call up the airsoft company and ask to exchange it for the correct kit since they sent me the wrong one. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.

You might have issues with that.

PDI discontinued the "old" V-trigger for VSR-10 and replaced it with an updated version based off th M24 trigger unit.

The part is 22$ from PDI, add maybe 10$ shipping.
The place you bought the trigger from will ask you to ship the trigger back to them and cover shipping of the new one... might not be worth it.

So is the trigger itself different or just the piston end?

And is the reason the piston end is not fitting into the cylinder because of the redesign or still because its a bore-up?

It is because it is bore-up.

I think there might be a difference between the bore-up and regular trigger... probably something like the sear and guide lock are a bit longer.

In the end, it might be better to contact the place and see if they have the non-Bore up version... If they don't see if you can get refunded and order the new one from x-fire.org.

Right now they are supposedly checking to see why it doesn't fit, on their end. They don't want to start shipping back and forth, to save everyone money, which I understand. What matters is that I have a product that doesn't work as advertised. It shouldn't matter why its not working, it just isn't. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to see.

Do you know if there is a big difference between the version 1 and version 2 v-trigger?

Maybe they designed the 2nd version to fit the new cylinder kits.

Check on the left side of your trigger. It will say if it is fore bore up. (If it says nothing, it's a V1 reg.)

The V2 uses the same sears as their APS2 and M24 trigger box, since their design is a bit more efficient, giving a smoother and more sudden release.
