The Selector plate and contacts could be out of wack.. If you have the gun in SAFE, and then plug the battery in, does it have the same effect?

Yes, even if the gun is on safety it still fires full auto the second the battery connection is made.

You've got pinched wires somewhere. Both positive and negative leads are shorting somewhere in the body/mechbox, completing the circuit instead of when you pull the trigger. That and your selector plate and/or cutoff lever is pooched.

Hmm, thanks Darklen, the pinched wires part makes sense, is there a gun doctor in southern AB?

The trigger wiring in the mechbox could have welded itself together. Happened to me once waaaay back. Bought a new CA trigger assembly and wiring from UN for like 20 bucks. I tried to sand it down to make it work again and that was a stupid mistake!! Didn't perform the way it should after I sanded it!! Good luck on finding out whats wrong brandedman!!

Not that I'm aware of. The guys in Brooks bring all their guns to me.
