Looking into a few guns (F2000, FNC)

So I may be looking into changing up guns from my AUG as my primary to perhaps an F2000 or an FN FNC, or even an AK5 if that's made. Does anyone make these in airsoft? I've been doing some googling but nothing concrete yet.

Furthermore, which one would you recommend more? I would be using it as an outdoor primary for the most part. I've got my MP7 for close up bullshit

Please and thanks :D

G&G makes the F2000

TokyoSeven June 16th, 2010 20:59

JLS had an FN2000, it was nothing special.

Star made or makes an FNC.

As far as I could research the only AK5 that I could find was a low end springer rifle.

I dont know if that has been released yet I think it has been but I'm gonna go have a look right now.

-Looks like it just came out so it should be available if you can find a retailer.

Search for the G&G G2010 to find it.

Bonus find. Looks like G&G also makes a GF76 which is their name for an FN FNC.

Yeha I did some more lookin' up n such...

Apparently branded as the G&G G2010 (f2000) and GF76 (fnc)

My biggest thing I'm worried about here is accuracy and range... like what's a range I should be shooting at in order to be able to keep up with most guns in the field? And upgrades like tightbore and junk... they worth doing? Or honestly is it even worth looking into either of these guns? Would I be best to stick with my CA AUG?

Okay new question lol: What would YOU guys recommend? Just... no M4s please. I've seen enough of those :(

Thanks for any and all insight... I feel I'm a little over my head

Just stay with the aug, man. Buy yourself some nice gear. The more exotic the gun you buy the more difficlut it is to find mags/parts/pouches for it.

The question you should be asking is whether you'd rather be playing airsoft or fuckin' around waiting for stuff in the mail.

Keep 'er simple.

Well to be honest work takes up 90% of my time and when not that it's school lol... But okay

I think I'll pop a blood vessel if I think any harder. >_>

The F2000 like sated before was made by JLS nothing special about it minus the fact that it used a proprietary gearbox IIRC. So if it broke have fun finding replacement. And as for G&G making one I thought it was scrapped.

I would stick with your AUG. Not just a personal Things but AATV released a video on the G2010 and it has a couple big flaws, such as you can only use high cap magazines. ( The video will explain more).

The G&G GF76 is apparently now shipping. Some Swedish airsofters have worked to create the parts you'd need to convert it to an AK5, but it would take quite a bit of effort to get the true AK5 effect. You can see for yourself by searching through the Swedish forums: http://www.airsoftsverige.com/V6/index.php The forums are in Swedish, but many of the Swedes can communicate very well in English.

I've held the ARES FNC at TAC10 and it was a solid little gun. The stock has zero wobble and locked into place so hard I actually had a little trouble opening it. Also comes in short and long barreled flavours.

The gear box was some hybrid bastardized contraption however I believe someone on ASR modified one to use an AUG V3 mechbox.

That gun is something special. It was going to put 120 dollars into my pocket for labour on repairs that it required. The owner ended up throwing it into the dumpster behind capital airsoft. (JLS version)

They had a G&G stand at a 24hour game I was at this weekend and they had the F2000 there.
|Its definitely different. Kinda cool... reminded me of the Rifle the Marines had in Aliens....or more like the gun from Halo. I dont know if I'd ever play a game with one though... it was realy bulky, kinda awkward. I just gave it a once over and held it for a bit, but I got the feeling it'd be hard to mod or upgrade... and judging from some of the previous posts, it is.

Bracketman June 24th, 2010 03:29

Does anyone know who in Canada (or the US) that would be bringing in the 'Black' version -- not the clear version -- of the G&G G2010? I actually own a real FS2000, and I would like the airsoft version for some plinking around with (and so the neighbors might feel less threatened if they felt the gun I'm carrying to the range was a bb gun lol). Too bad G&G is offering the 'tactical' version, since my FS2000 is the 'standard' version with the 1.6x optical sight and polymer rails. Then again, they could easily create the scope/housing and sell it seperately...
