flecktarn & M4

does any one use M4A1's with Flecktarn camo? i was planning on it so i was just wondering if anyone els did. also would it look awkward if i did use that set up

BoGrain March 24th, 2010 19:29

well I used to field flecktarn with an AK because I could not find a proper DDR NVA uniforms.

I have seen a few people do it... it is not great but it is better than nothing

Hoser-eh! March 24th, 2010 19:38

well i really like M4's but im also considering getting a SRC G36K if you have any experience with it i would like to know how it preforms outdoors.

and if anyone has a pic of them in Flecktarn with an M4 i would appreciate it

Personally, I have no experience with the G36K; however, they do have great internals (the GEN 3 versions); I heard their might be issue with the fuse apart from that it is a pretty good starter gun. * I assume you are referring to the cansoft version sold by 007 airsoft*. For outdoors, it truly depends on your play style (IF you prefer engaging from a far, then you will want a longer inner barrel; or if you are like me and like to charge/CQB then you can go for a shorter and less bulky aeg like an mp5 or a m4-CQB or an Mp-40 :)). My advice before buying, go check the doctor's corner and if the name of your aeg appears often - you should maybe consider another one.

when it comes down to your first AEG; go for something you like or it will ruin you airsoft experience. Then, you can worry about having an authentic impression (BDU are cheaper to replace than an AEG).

you should also get Age Verified; G36 and M4 with metal bodies or opaque bodies are available from the classifieds or from retailers.

I've got a buddy that runs a M712 mauser carbine, and a M4 with flecktarn, way I see it unless your going to a hardcore mil-sim op use what you like.

good point. i will probably get an M4 and then just some different kind of BDU if it looks funky. thanks

most team and players do not adhere to strict gun + bdu match. Read reviews and take time before buying - impulse buy usually end up not being great.

All too true, weigh your options first.

F.I.S.T. uses flectarn and tropentarn as its base for loadout . many of us use m4 s

esky March 24th, 2010 20:40

Sure why not. I wear Flecktarn and use a Thompson haha.

That is fairly original why not use an mp-40 :)

ya im not that deep into the airsoft world for now and my other airsoft playing friends are getting Flecktarn and M4's so we will have a matching thing going on

Lord of Rebirth March 25th, 2010 23:12

I have flecktarn and two M-4s and an M-16 at the moment. I'm gonna get and modify a G36C in the next three months though and really the flecktarn should work well here. Also though I'm working on possibly setting up a sort of German Mercenaries team that uses G3s and an MG3. Also I'm gonna get some woodland digital before to long which might match M-4s better?

QuiN March 27th, 2010 09:41

Well, in Germany Flecktarn and M4 classifies you as an airsoft-kiddie due to all the younglings, who play with cheapo m4's and uberused flecktarn clothes. We have a strict gun+bdu match if it concerns serious airsofting. Serious business! ;)

Lord of Rebirth March 27th, 2010 12:23

Yeah but I bet in Germany it is not all that hard to get G3s, G36s and maybe even MG3s.

I want an MG3 so bad I'm gonna try and build my own....
