LA85 question
 

yo i am looking to get an LA85 assault rifle and i was just wondering who would you recommend i buy it from? i am looking for something that will last a while and is preferably electric with high ROF

The Ares one looks good to me.

just bought L85 this week full steel from ICS it's a heavy one!!!

Both ICS and Ares offer various L85 models. Personally I'd stay away from any other manufacturer.

R.I.T.Z is just trying to keep you from getting arrested or shot. It's a pretty bad idea to just play in some small forest near the city.

If you want one of the full metal guns from Mach1, your going to need you're minors firearm license.

And: Please even have your gun shown anywhere outside fields.

Im in the same boat as you. Im 17 and very eager to get involved in the Airsoft community. Unfortunately; i find that most people won't answer a good portion of your questions unless your age-verified. As of now im just trying to get a list of websites in Canada (hopefully) to purchase accessories, mags, gear, etc from. And im even having trouble figuring those out. :)

parts and accessories are one thing, buying a gun when the canadian law states you must be 18+ is another.
offering an opinion on a gun is another, we may offer opinions. but what he is asking is for us to help him buy the gun which according to board rules is a infractionable offense. we can help you fix a gun, offer advice and reviews about gun, and help get parts, but as for telling you where to get one thats a NO.

RITZ i agree with everything else you said but that laws only in Ontario, and that doesn't apply if your being watched by an adult.

Cant buy a gun unless you're 18+ even from Mach1 you'll need proof you are over the age of 18. Mach1 does not sell guns to minors. You cannot come on here under the age of 18 and start mouthing people off, this is just going to get yourself flamed and made of. Read the FAQ's before you start posting on the forums.

oh, and that 'huge private field' you play at, probably is not private, dont even lie. You cannot play airsoft in the public view. If you do, this just makes ALL airsofters look bad in the public eye.

The brits can sure make an ugly gun. It kicks ass though in Socom 2 and 3

I don't find it ugly at all besides it's all a matter of your opinion of what looks good to you or not, which is why i wouldn't touch an m4 with a 10 foot pole.

Too me it is ugly as sin. Same with the STG77 same deal. I don't like where the mag loads. Looks ridiculous but that's my opinion.. Not that they're terrible guns or anything just doesn't float my boat..A lot of guns from Europe i don't like. I do like HK. The UMP.45 is pretty badass too..

well, bullpup layouts seem to be the way the manufacturers are going. You cant argue with the effectivness of them. Personally i love the tavor and l85, i want one of each!

Not true, there are a few minors who I will answer their questions straight because they have taken the time to read the FAQ's and also take time to spell check (FF has a spell check option so there's no excuse) and use proper grammar/sentences.

You shouldn't have trouble figuring out where to get gear. Local surplus shops are the first place to get things like BDU's and pouches. Then go online to the various clone gear retailers if you are budget conscious and get your vest/rig/other tacticool gear/w/e.

As for oyur airsoft group. Why not ask them whats the best rifle since they are such a large group?

And whats this crap about Legit fields? Most of the game I see mentioned on here are played on someones farm. or crown land. Calling the cops and letting them know. is not how oyu make a legit field. So don't go pulling that crap on the kid just so you can take another dig at him. Or the next people seen playing on Crown land should have there AV suspended.

RITZ's only intentions is to help, if you want us to do anything for you, just respect our rules. They have been in place for a 'VERY' long time and there's little you can do to circumvent them when it comes to ASC. There are always other means, but we won't help you.

If you really want good quality stuff, wait 2 years, get age verified. The people here cannot stress this enough.

You know you're right. I skimmed the part where he said that he was not within city limits. My worries still stand though, this kid should not have a gun, and his attitude supports that.

Before you attempt to order than airsoft gun from overseas be sure to review Canada's laws about importation of airsoft guns at this point in time, if you review the laws on how airsoft is regarded by Canadian border services and understand the terms and still wish to go ahead and order, then by all means do as you wish.

There are many excellent American forums that contain lots of useful information, just remember that airsoft is different down there. While ASC maintains the ideal that airsoft should only be owned and used by the age of majority, that is not the same in the USA. You will find some forums to be filled with screaming useless children who couldnt write a review answer a question to save their own lives. So take what you learn from those websites with a grain of salt.
