Weighs about... 9-10 pounds, made out of metal and wood... Probably the nicest airsoft gun I've ever held. |
|
|
Krieg: you have TWO K98's ?! Lucky.

Uhm. Crackshot. wtf. where'd you get that stg44? or is it just a model??
I had no idea you had this many different guns! very nice. |
Quote:
still want another K98, maybe a Mauser 712. Wish for a MG42 or 34!! |
Thanks to that Thompson, styrak, I had an unforseen underwear change
|
Crackshot have you been out to any of our WW2 games yet?

hey does anybody do a canadian ww2 load out, if not why??
|
Quote:
|
canadians used the thompson just figured the gear would be dirt cheap.
|
Quote:
there is also a store in Toronto that has a hole mess off Canadian ww2 webbing and its fairly cheap. Althought I'm not sure if its all dried up :P cheers, Edit: and yes its BD not BDU thats for you moddern warriors |

ive considered building a loadout based on my gramps gear in korea
but the lack of a lee enfield kinda set me off from that plus id probly be a little bit outgunned plus i have no idea what i would need in the first place in terms of gear lol |
Quote:
EDIT: you could also do an officers impression and just carry a browning hi-power, come to think of it, that would look pritty good on me! |
or you could just do a ww2 impression and look way better than %95 of eveyone else.
|
I know in korea canadians did use american firearms , its to bad that as canadians we have to dress in american bd s or german. If I had the time and money I would try a canadian loadout. Too bad nobody is doing it.
|
I'm doing it. I need a pair of trousers, boots, and a canteen I think to complete my loadout. Work on my No4 Enfield will start sometime in the new year.
Jeff |
Quote:
I myself do the 101st, but ive been planning to get british/canadian stuff for a while now but I always end up getting something else. |
is there anyway of retrofitting an airsoft sniper barrel and internals on to a lee enfield no.4. Dont know if thats a dumb question or not if it is sorry.
|
Quote:
http://capitalairsoft.ca/store/index...products_id=32 And will be fitting the mechanics of it into an enfield stock and working with it from there. Hopefully it works out! |
hope that goes well for you, put some pics up when your done. Since im of scottish descent a canadian highland unit loadout would be very cool, not that american or german loadouts are bad just being canadian I would try for canadian loadout. This thread has got me thinkng about putting a ww2 kit together.
|
Gear and Equipment sites?
What website are you guys using for gear? I am looking for a couple mag pouchs for the mp40 and a german bread box.
I have found "Spearhead-Militaria" on ebay. They have helmets and camo. |
I kind of took the easy way for WWII Canadian. First Special Service Force. It's a mix of Canadians and Americans and they all used american gear and weapons. Almost done my loadout. Waiting on one more package and then I'll have some sewing to do. And some pictures to take.
|

"At The Front" and "What Price Glory" should have what you need. |
if you guys ever need some WW2 and are in GTA, check out surplus central, they had a whole bunch of Pat.37 a while ago.

Some people in the states made some pretty decent looking toys out of VSr-10's at an affordable price. There is an SMLE and No.4 http://ww2aa.proboards45.com/index.c...ay&thread=2605 |
can you get a kit to turn a thompson into the 1928 verrsion the one with the grip in the front and the drum mag, canadian forces used that one, I seen browning hi pwrs and lots of 45s, what about 38s do they make any ww2 style 38s in airsoft
|
sorry about asking alot of question on this thread just got bite by the ww2 loadout bug, really want to do a good cf kit. weopons gear and so forth.
Thank s for the great info so far. |

Drum mags existed a long time ago but I havent seen them in a long time. |

I had an EMT sent out to get a nice Kar98, seller sold it to someone who sent an EMT 2 mins before me without even PMing and confirming with the seller first... I'm still a bit sore about that... but it was a very preassured sales situation, so I can't entirely blame em. Woulda been nice though. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o...3/IMG_0437.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o.../IMG_04352.jpg |
Hmmm, Kar 98 dreams, I had a Tanaka on order from 007 a long time ago, 6 months later, nothing and then his shipment got snaked. Mine wasn't ordered yet so I got my money back, but I'd much rather have my Kar 98. Settled on a Marushin MP40 which is alright too.
|
ill say one thing about german loadout there fucking sharp looking, looked at some ww2 pics, germans in clean crisp uniforms look bad ass especially ss they looked really sharp

I saw a guy natively converted a JG BAR-10 to a KAR 98~~~
|
Does anyone know if tommygunner in the other forums still makes/sells the Enfield?
As per the Canadian load out I do, since the 1can para troops where in the british 6th airborne div. their gear was about 95% the same, the visibly difference being the insignia and badges. PM me if you want details about it. |
In the pictures thread from the News Section, there is an MP44, and MG42 allegedly by AGM coming out!

I love that BAR, is it a VFC or the Matrix clone? I'm thinking about getting the matrix once it's back in stock on evike, the vfc is a little too expensive for me.
Great looking gun though. Anyone know of a website with a good selection of WWII pistols? Not looking to get any soon but just for the future. Mine: PPSh-41 http://i53.tinypic.com/nzrlz5.jpg http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_0953.jpg Thompson (Has features of the m1a1 and 1928. It's not historically accurate but I love it.) http://i53.tinypic.com/2wecv9j.jpg http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_0958.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2evuw3q.jpg Don't ask why the pictures have pink rims on them because I have no clue. |
My biggest gripe is the lack of an aeg g43. If they made a full metal/wood version of that, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. He'll, I'd even sell my m14 for one of those.
|
So, recently got an old-school 1911A1, and just ordered a Thompson M1A1, and I'm wondering where's the best site to get some old-school style gear for them, namely an old US leather holster (And it has to be left-handed! :D ) and canvas web belt/mag pouches, as well as canvas mag pouches for the M1A1 mags.
|
Quote:
www.onlinemilitaria.net (also known as WPG) Good luck trying to find a lefty holster, ive only ever seen right hand. |
Thank for the info; although neither site carries lefty gear, Jerry from What Price Glory was able to steer me to:
http://pacificcanvasandleather.com/ ... Who have a bunch of replica US (and German) holsters of many types in lefty versions. |
Stay tuned for ares PPSh-41 pictures, should have it in the next week :D so excited!
anyone ever find any GBB russian side arms? If not i think my PPSh might be a MP-41(r) |

People really deal with Evike? |
Quote:
|
You live in the US, that's why.
It's not that good when you're doing Int'l orders with them. |
Quote:
On one of the USA WW2 airsoft boards one guy got his VFC B.A.R from evike and the stock was barely attached and had writing on it even though he paid full price for a BNIB. PS: Finally picked up the VFC B.A.R carry handle and bi pod today. |
What the hell. Do you know if they exchanged it for him or anything?
I'd love to see a pic of it with a bipod and handle attached. I might actually be ordering it from ACMgear instead because it's currently $51 less but apparently Evike's price for the thing keeps changing. We'll see what the final prices are once it gets in stock. I'll post pics of the WE 1911 I got today once the cameras charged....damn that thing looks real, and that's coming from someone who has handled and fired the real thing. Hopefully there's no performance problems, wont know until I get some more gas. |
Yay! My Tommy Gun arrived!
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/2...noct222010.jpg Now to pimp it out with a wood kit and some repro WWII gear... |
Nice, make sure you post some new pics then!
I just bought a custom made AEG m1 carbine of someone from ww2aa. Started off as an m14 and somehow was turned into a carbine even though the m14 is much larger, from the pictures everything looks right on it though. Will update when I get it in my hands. Payed $80 for the body and $80 for the gearbox....$160 for a gun that otherwise would've costed me around $500 in addition to gas and 8mm bbs. Nice deal or what? |
Considering ive only seen stock TM M14 go for $700 plus here....damn americans are so lucky your country loves guns.
|
Got me a "Capt. Miller" helmet, plus a canteen and a couple M1A1 mag pouches...
http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/702...lerhelmet2.jpg http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/299...lerhelmet1.jpg Waiting to get a couple 1916 model left-handed holsters from Pacific Canvas and Leather for my 1911, plus some canvas and leather mag pouches. |
|
Tex, going for a particuliar loadout?
|
Quote:
|
Yeah that was a stupid question to ask...
But IIRC, no horsehide gloves in the rangers. |
Sorry, no specific impression. I chose the Miller because it looked cool and didn't cost that much more than a plain one. Since I'm the only one up here sporting WWII gear, I'd feel silly in a full impression load-out. This will be more of a "feel". My baggiest, wide-legged khaki cargo pants, khaki or OD cotton shirt with epaulets, and either a cotton canvas "work" jacket, or the pictured leather (which is an Indiana Jones repro) depending on the weather. Also, a full reproduction impression is expensive, since I would have been lured into a paratrooper load-out.
Once it's all together and fielded in a few months, there will be pictures and hopefully it all makes sense then. P.S. Jeff, do you still have wood kits for my M1A1 in stock? My procurement officer and I have been slacking on that. Only finally ordered extra mags for it yeaterday, and it still hasn't been converted to Deans yet. |
No worry Tex.
The leather jacket looked like a Flight Jacket at first, you could do a Cap'n Sobel loadout :D |
Quote:
I was also a little inspired to try Aldo Raine from his speech at the beginning of "Inglorious Basterds", but liked a helmeted combat look better. But maybe if I ever get an MP40, I'll do Aldo in his "partisan" outfit, an OSS thing. Which would prevent me buying everything for a fallschirmjager impression. :D |
Well check into a FSSF loadout.
Thats the unit hes in in that movie. |
I Googled "FSSF" and the first link was to a tribute page set up by a grandson of one of the unit's Canadian officers. The cool thing is they're selling a replica V-42 dagger that would look real cool on my web belt!
|
My Grandfather was a Canadian Member of the force. Here's his application for a purple heart after he was wounded during the breakout from Anzio
If you havent figured it out the move "The Devils Brigade" is about the force. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...pleheart-2.jpg |
I believe MilitaryTour.com has a replica also.
I wanted to buy one and make a rubber copy out of it (Coldsteel style) If you need help with a FSSF loadout, either PM me, or check the kit guide I made on my website :D |
Quote:
How accurate was it, in the notion that Canada sent first rate disciplined troops, and the US sent refugees from the stockade? |
Quote:
On the evening of June 4, 1944 members of the FSSF entered Rome. They were some of the first Allied soldiers to enter the city. I think the spelling of Colona on the application should have been Colonna. Colonna is a small town about 10 miles south of Rome. |
That is indeed a really nice piece of history.
As far as I know, the only military contribution of my familly was my Grandmother who made parachutes. She was only 14. Also Tex, just so you know, Forcemen were trained to use German weapons. Would be totally acceptable to use a Mp40 ;) |
At this moment in time, I'm looking at an AGM MP40 that Cottoni has for sale, and I'm 90% sure I'm gonna get it. Plus eHobby Asia actually has King Arms MP40 mags in stock. Just checking around for a proper sling and mag pouches.
|
Just keep in mind that Forcemen would probably not use MP40 pouches, but their pockets...
Or a General Purpose bag, or even a Thompson mag bag (often called M1 Ammunition bag, or just Ammunition bag) |
I have the bag; holds 10-12 mags loose, with a shoulder strap... I want the pouches to wear with old style civvies for a resistance/OSS kinda look (again with the Aldo Raine look :D ). And maybe someday, when I have space to store it all (and a way for my wife not to notice) I'd love to try to put together a "Fallschirmjager" impression.
Someday. |
Hehe, no problem then, you can use pouches with both loadouts ;)
And I truly believe half of Aldo Raines character is his accent :P "You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner-takin' business; we in the killin' Nazi business. And cousin, business is a-boomin'." |
