Sudbury airsoft group

If anybody is looking for more players, or is looking to join a group, come join Sudbury Airsoft group on Facebook.com. we are looking for player to join are group to have battles. if interested look it up, or add me to msn at vlalonde8@hotmail.comfor more info

Wilson March 10th, 2008 08:42

I took the liberty of adding you to MSN. Good to see some fellow Sudbury airsofters.

LUTNIT March 10th, 2008 17:28

So only members of the Sudbury, On network can join....so that leaves me out as I spend 9-10 months of the year in Ottawa so that network is more important to me.

Anyway, you are talking about having a "battle" and you openly admit to not knowing where to have one. Also you posted a link to the crossman clearsoft site and say its a good place to find information.

Sudbury just died a little more in my heart.

Fox Hound March 10th, 2008 18:29

what about northbay guys?

there is a team here in northbay as well

Lotech March 10th, 2008 19:30

Yes, there is a team in North Bay that keeps getting bigger and we also have a field to play on. There is a local Paintball field who's owner has no problem having airsoft on his field. He has even come out and played with a loaner gun. The two teams should try to get together some time before Wolfpack as this would be a good game to represent Northern Ontario.

Hope your Sudbury team comes together!

EVIL TOAST March 27th, 2008 18:48

I'm from Sudbury, but I mostly play in Tactical paintball teams..but I do have an AEG MP5 though.. and I'd love to actually use it lol.

Spawn28 March 27th, 2008 20:32

I have a team in Sudbury, and we'd be up for that as well. We're at 5 guys now.

LUTNIT March 27th, 2008 23:14

When would this be taking place? If I can get a ride from Sudbury I'm in, just have to go back to Ottawa some weekend to grab my gear. I'm in Sudbury until the second week of May.

Cpl T. Syndrome March 28th, 2008 11:21

paramedic June 3rd, 2008 10:59

theres a team north bay?!?!?! is there anyone that could age verify me in north bay? I'm here for at least a month till BMQ or a move to ottawa

etd August 11th, 2008 02:37

I represent a third North Bay team... we don't have a name. Just a bunch of 8+ guys/girls who play for fun. We have never played at the paint ball field. We normally play near Booth road. Contact me carmelos53@hotmail.com. We will play with anyone in the city. Just a warning.. we have crappy guns though.

LUTNIT August 11th, 2008 02:40

hahaha, for a second there I thought the 8+ meant you where all at least 8 years old

hannibalkain August 28th, 2008 23:20

Im looking to start a new North Bay team.... do i need some sort of sanction or sponsor .... or can i just get some team mates together?

hannibalkain August 28th, 2008 23:23

also, etd ... once I get a team going i would love to play you.

basically everyone is going to be begginner level though
and probably varying quality of guns

Spawn28 August 30th, 2008 00:05

as long as your 18+ why start a team when ya can join one thats already established and is groing very well at the moment? but if ya do want to start a team you dont need a saction or spponsor just get some guys and make a team.If and when ya get a team started and want a team to play against localy we would be more than happy to have you come to our field and scrim.

Sure thing

Got a couple buddies of mine also looking to get age verified, I'll be talking with them today about getting it done soon.

Also out side of the low end stuff (Canadian Tire, Walmart, and San Diego) dose anyone sell airsoft in Sudbury???

E_benoit March 1st, 2009 11:35

Nope your best bet is to get verified and get one off the forums or from one of the retailers in the retailer section.

Jefram_denkar March 4th, 2009 00:57

In general what do people normally use in Sudbury for air soft (type of gun, equipment, etc...???)

Also how much can a person expect to spend starting out???

LUTNIT March 4th, 2009 01:34

There is actually a neat thread where people are listing under $600 loadouts including gun and gear. Thread is over here:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...&highlight=600

$600 is quite low but possible, if you have say $1000 in the bank ready to spend thats a good solid base. How much gear and what type depends on how, where, and how often you play. Wilson for example often rocks plate carriers, drop leg holsters, and all the other good stuff (at least thats what I remember, last summer was a long while ago...) but him and his boys travel all over the place from Toronto to Ottawa for games. If you are more casual you can probably get away with a gun, some sort of camouflage clothing, good boots (best to get some that go above the ankle to prevent sprains), a battery, goggles, and a hicap or two. Maybe a cheap chest rig with some plastic lowcaps. Several people I know run with sub $500 loadouts (not including gun) and play regularly. If you want to get more serious the sky's the limit, I recently scared myself adding up my standard loadout and it came out to over $3300 (including gun.)

*Edit*
For a first game or if you are really casual (only play a few times a year or just with friends) you could even just do gun and goggles. Several of the retailers in the drop down menu at the top (who DO check your age verified status here on ASC) sell packages with a gun, hicap, bag of BB's, battery, and a wall charger for under $350. Then get some paintball goggles or something for $20-50 and run with jeans and whatever. I still recommend boots that go above the ankle though.

On the note of goggles. Most fields require completely sealing goggles for safety reasons, no shooting glasses or anything like that. I have seen a BB hit the edge of shooting glasses, shatter, and send BB shrapnel into the guys eye. He turned out to be fine after flushing it with water and keeping it closed for a few minutes, but it could have been a lot worse. So I really recommend goggles that seal around your face, not any type of glasses.

Hey Vince

Well we made contact on Facebook and began talking about the teams and how we were going to figure everything out. So if there is already a team in sudbury depending on the numbers of that team you and I could make arangements to bring our teams together or something. Just add me on msn and we can get it all sorted out.
