New STAR guns

any word on the new AEG's from STAR?

Solo36 April 10th, 2007 01:30

Ive emailed them but have not gotten a responce yet. i cant wait for there version of the scar.

Blink43va April 12th, 2007 00:57

Same, but I cant tell if I will want a SCAR or F2000... or if they ever come out with one... a TAR-21 :rocket:

Also the EGLM looks so nice with the STAR SCAR :p

stokes April 12th, 2007 01:31

As soon as that EGLM hits the market... Im getting one for sure...

Ryan Smith April 12th, 2007 08:49

Sorry for asking BUT where would you pick one of these up with all the problems regarding customs and a huge lack of retailers? It often sounds like buying a new gun is next to impossible due to all the trouble lately.

Ryan

Mr Jon April 12th, 2007 08:56

Their M16A3 and M4A1 has just hit the shelves at War4 airsoft at very reasonable prices. Until now you'll have to wait until they hit the larger HK airsoft chains. I'm hoping the release for their SCAR/EGLM is imminent now. Cross yer fingers.

Graham April 12th, 2007 20:02

I'm excited for the CQC type m4's. Don't suppose they will be full metal.

edit: War 4 says they have an alum. upper with a "decent" lower, so 1/2 metal sounds not to shabby. very decent price as well

swatt13 April 12th, 2007 20:14

knowing star, i would bet my nuts that they will be full metal and prolly cnc. i want one so bad... and an eglm.

Blink43va holy frick man, your sig is nuckin futz!! lol, i watched that for like 5 mins lol. thats awesome.

Amazing KG3 April 12th, 2007 20:22

*crosses fingers*

jerryliang2k April 12th, 2007 20:40

the new star m4s supposedly have functioning bolt catch? Anyone hear any specifics? Having the bolt lock after running out of BBs would be enough reason for me to get one.

jerryliang2k April 12th, 2007 20:44

nevermind, just visited the start website http://www.starairsoft.com/product_d...?productid=252

look at the 3rd pic.

Kinda dissapointed...

Yuu April 12th, 2007 21:04

whats so dissapointing about that? thats pretty cool. the simulated bolt plate stayes open until you hit the bolt catch... thats cool. more than any other company has done with it... well aside from systema. i agree it would ahve been nice if they would have incorperated systemas cease fire feature.

whats up with the "easy power set up" is that kinda like a paintball gun where you can adjsut the spring compression via an adjusting screw... sure looks like it to me. if thats true, that there is reason enough to buy it, thats a sweet and innovative design. also the new buffer tube idea is freeking awesome.... man i sound like a star fanboy lol. i love what i see so far. i will most likely get one. just dont like the "decent lower reciever" remark lol... what the hell is up with that?

Kid April 12th, 2007 22:05

Why does the handle up top not reach the entire length of the top rail? It falls a notch short.

ya thats kinda wierd, on most modles, it sits flush with the front of the rail, and is off a half inch at the rear of the rail. stars is flush with the rear and off almost an inch on the front....

See VFC HK416.

Amazing KG3 April 12th, 2007 23:09

easy power step up would make it easier for swapping springs i imagine. I like my CA better,

Amazing KG3 April 12th, 2007 23:15

HOLY SHIT

STAR has a EBR coming out?!

Well, in your L85 taking the spring out consists of the little 1/4 turn plug and out comes the spring, I assume it's the same sort of system on this.

also, the EBR kit from them has been pending forever, i think

attack-beaver April 13th, 2007 00:01

the STAR M14 SOPMOD kit was made earlier this is its V2 relesse.

IRONSIGHT April 13th, 2007 07:57

Does anybody know who can get ahold of STAR AEG'S & parts in Canada? I am Dying to get the SCAR-H, and I also need a couple of parts for my STAR UMP.

swatt13 April 13th, 2007 12:24

ken ay 007 is and can bring in star and reasonale prices. be forwarned you must pre pay though (half??)

Juic3box April 13th, 2007 19:19

www.airsoft-war4.com has them for a good price as stated above. I am skeptic about their gearboxes and am currently waiting for a couple reviews to get out there but i know their plastic ones last quite a while at under 300 fps. (Their m249 has a plastic gearbox.) Full metal for under 300 sounds quite nice but lets see how the internals do.

We can't order from out-of-country ( :( ) so we have to wait til la local retailer has them. Swatt13, did Ken say what he'd be charging for them?

Graham April 14th, 2007 01:17

Juic3box April 14th, 2007 01:37

not the m4s, just talked about the scar and the l85. both were $800-$900 by the time you get em.

Blink43va April 15th, 2007 00:40

haha thanks Swat and KG3...

But apparently didn't realize that their was a Signature size limit! :smack: Stupid me...

Anyways... ya I wonder how much the STAR SCAR will cost? I know SCAR goes for insane prices practically anywhere... but for sure... ill either be getting that, or.... a SIG556 or F2000.

-Blink;)

IRONSIGHT June 20th, 2007 17:01

Scar pictures have been updated @ Star airsoft. Anyone know of a release date yet?

stokes June 20th, 2007 17:28

Those star SCARs are damn sexy...

Ace of Spades© June 20th, 2007 17:50

Those are Gen 2 SCAR's right? Any one else notice in the pics "built in 1700mAH 9.4V battery, no wires no sockets" I'm not sure about this... the M249's had some shoddy connection problems I hope STAR corrects these issues.

stokes June 20th, 2007 17:50

Here You Go.

SO Much sexier than the CA scars...

underground June 21st, 2007 01:19

stokes June 21st, 2007 01:21

Once WGC has them we can start the group orders.
