Using an L85 left handed...

I really love the G&G L85, love the feel of it, the unique look of it, the solid rep is has in reviews and the standard M4 hopup chamber it will take. (allowing me to port my sweet Rhop setup.)

Sadly I am left handed. I know this is not a serious issue in Airsoft, but aesthetically how much ribbing would I likely get?

Just make sure to disable your blowback.

I own the L85, absolutely love it, but it often needs a bit of tech work out of the box. The guns biggest issue is that it usually always has a fucked up semi auto function due to the design of the gearbox. I have yet to do the fix, but there is plenty of vids and tutorials online to help you along.

Disabling the blowback is huge, too. I found that my battery drained way too fast with it engaged.

btw, you can take that r-hopped barrel and shaved bucking and put it into any other hop up unit... unless you modified the arm for the mnub. Nothing is done to a hopup chamber to install the r-hop.

Maybe you might get snide comment from the odd too serious to be taken seriously airsofter, but I have been in airsoft in for a year and a half, and it's a pretty easy going community from what I have experienced.

Meh I'm left handed, I shoot primarily right but can shoot both. Heck makes it easier when you switch sides for corners and gives you an advantage to shoot those damn righties who are struggling to figure out how to sight or are leaning so far out because they are to stubborn to switch to a left hand stance.

It's a game play to have fun, who cares if someone else does not like your gear or handling. If you can shoot and send BBs their way and call your own hits then it's all good.

I have a WE L85A2 ..GBBR.. the cocking handle boinks your nose if you try to shoot left with it.

I expect that a real one would do the same.. along with ejecting a hot shell casing at your mouth.

Well, I did hear stories about people getting their teeth knocked out because of the charging handle, as a lefty, I shun the L85 for that reason and others.

I had to disconnect the blow back so I wouldn't get hit on my SA 80
