New Gun Problems Allready.....

G&G Tr 4 CQBS not working properly. Gun is blob firing in 2's and 3's. It is also miss firing. My mags are brand new G&G mid cap 80 round mags so it cant be the mags. I am shooting 25g bio bbs.

Could it be the bbs swelling they r older bbs? Could it be a wet inner barrel? Or is this an internal problem? Im not happy as I spent a lot of money on a bettter quality gun and as far as I am concerned Im ready to go back to my older less expensive gun as it performs much better. My G&G Raider Combat Machine series has never had any performance problems or issues like ive had with this gun.....ready to go back to my Raider.

Change your bbs, then change your mags, and THEN blame the gun.

Its not the 6 mags I have....they are all brand new G&G mid caps.

What BB's are you using?

Is the gun BNIB from a store, or second hand?

audi_bhoy February 2nd, 2014 18:05

So? Had feeding issues with brand new G&P mags, if you shoot in single fire mode, how does it act? Could only be your hop-up is misadjusted.

Bio Bbs (Bioval Technologies)

It shoots bit better in semi, I get some blobbing of slow shots 10 ft out then mabye 4-5 good shots then repeats again. If I flip up the gun upside down and look through where the magazine goes the hop up moves slightly back and forth. Should it be tight? Or have some play? Its a metal hop up not plastic.

Midcaps are know to cause issues.
Mostly because they are double-stacked.

But 80rnds are not midcaps, they are lowcaps. Usually not double-stacked, as there is plenty of space to fit 80 in an M4 mags all in line.

I am suspecting hop-up rubber or nozzle.
Maybe also tappet plate (moves the nozzle).

What brand are your BBs and how long has it been since you opened the bag/box?

Kos-Mos February 2nd, 2014 18:12

Oh. Is your hop-up spring-loaded pushing against the mechbox?

It can move a little, but should bounce back to the mechbox side when you let go.

There is supposed to be a small spring on top of it for that.

Bioval bbs and they are 2-3 months old. Can they swell and take on mmoisture and cause problems?

Chromey February 2nd, 2014 18:19

Is this a New too you gun? Or brand new gun?

Caelan February 2nd, 2014 19:03

Brand new gun, new too top tech I guess.

Chromey February 2nd, 2014 19:45

Should still have warranty then, yes?

Caelan February 2nd, 2014 20:38

Well if its an easy fix I dont want to send away my gun and wait a month for it to get fixed. Thats why I'm posting on this site for ideas and help.

Try some different BBs. Did you try the hicap that it comes with?

Caelan February 2nd, 2014 21:02

Ill try different bbs. Check the hop up and rubber.

We really need to make a flow chart for these kind of threads.

1. Try different mags (I dont care if they are brand new or not)
2. Try different BBs
3. Check your hop up setting
4. Remove and inspect inner barrel for obstructions or dirt that may cause jams
5. Clean barrel with a small patch anyways since its out
6. Verify that gearbox if firing correctly and nozzle is moving and loading BBs

Yes there are more steps but this should get you started.
