Just found a decently priced Specter DR 1x-4x on ebairsoft and was wondering if anyone has experience with it or knows what kind of quality it is?

Honestly.. I wish they made it in the correct DE color... I don't like sparkle gold.

got mine, mine is crap as far as performance, asthetics its great, optics imo .9x-2.5x not true 1x-4x, at 1x it make things look smaller, and i am unable to sight the damned thing as even at full lock the crosssights are still to far to the left.

Huh. Well this made me second guess myself, so I eamiled EBairsoft to cancel my order and this is the response I got.

I was pretty shocked when I got this email back (very promptly) considering I don't think I have ever had a company that wouldn't return my money before a order was even shipped out!

The optics are very clear and I haven't had any complaints about them losing zero. I think the quality of these are very high. Just that they are fixed 4X magnification.

Sounds like the 4x I have.(one of the first ones that came out) Runs out of adjustment sighting it in. The optic tube does not even run parallel with the mount it's attached to. Looks great though,glass is good,clear,nice trades. Oh, and the reticle was out of level by about 5 degrees .A buddy had to open his and mine up and he fixed the level issue in both of them.

If you want something with similar capability but almost guaranteed (relatively) to not be a lemon, I suggest one of these:

UTG/Leapers is a (low end chinese) accessories manufacturer for real firearms, so it's more than enough for airsoft.

Well, She is kind of telling the truth. EB warehouse is in mainland China. When the order made and it is forwarded to their GZ warehouse. Since they use HKPost ( which is the cheapeast around the world ), your parcel may have been collected by shipper. Shipper collectes parcels in mainland china then smuggles them to Hongkong then hands to Hongkong Post. This process may take a couple days. Once your parcel is collected by the shipper already, it is difficult to track it and get it back. Even though you haven't received the tracking #, your order may have been in the transit to Hongkong Post.

Paypal dispute is the only option but once they fill in the tracking # in a day or two, you may have to fight.

I disputed it, and got a refund (no I have to wait for my credit card to be charged back) so obviously it wasn't that hard. Just saying if I ran a business I would make a better attempt at pleasing my customer, or at least give a slightly better response.

I have bought a lot of stuff from them over the years, and will continue to.

I was worried about the quality of them. I figured that the switch from 1x to 4x wouldn't be that good and was right. I found one on rsov.com which seems to be of better quality. Comes with a case so that gives me a slight hint that it would be of better than the one eb sells.

Looks very interesting. I might have to get one of these next year. I has to be better than my iron sights, and will probably work well instead of a red dot.
