Surplus store in Kingston selling TM blowback guns
Some electric and some gas. They are brand new and on display. What makes this worth reporting to everyone is that they have a sign saying you have to be 16 to buy them. This concerns me. I'm not really sure what (if anything) I can do about it. Thoughts?

Write them a polite letter telling that the legal age is 18+
Then roll it around a big rock, and throw it through their front window. |
Is that the store down town that has the "stylish" clothes?
|
You mean there is a place that I can buy guns!!
lmao, I wouldnt buy one anyways.. since it isn't legal for me to do so. I would recommend sending them a polite letter stating that it is indeed illigal. If they continue to sell the guns contact the local authorities. |
Check the prices...

As the regional age rep, I felt it necessary to talk to the store owner regarding this very matter, and it was made clear that he being the store owner would set policy as he saw fit. It's his store, his rules, enough said.
And as HoJo hinted at, the prices are outrageous - $100 for a springer. |

Is there a website?

Well if the durham area regional rep wants to go talk to the guys at Hero Army Surplus about selling thier insanely over priced GBB and AEGs to minors go nuts! They just nod and smile. Its all about the money.

I recall a thread like this a while back, surplus store, could even be Kingston, that sold airsoft guns, but their prices were hugely marked up, like close to $1000 for a stock TM M16 type thing. Same place mentioned here? Price CAN be a factor in lower age restrictions, but not always. I remember when I was 17 and working, it'd take me about 4-5 months working to save up that much. Still, they SHOULD stick with 18+ only. Local surplus/paintball store here sells the 'Soft Air' crap (and quite a bit of it), and they even only sell legally to 18+.

if the got any good gbb's, hook me up

I do a lot of shopping in said store (bought some frontenac pants, boonie hat, DPM goretex to name a few), the prices aren't that bad, and the service is pretty good, but yeah, they do what they want.
I'd never buy one of their guns though. |
