Im looking for mag holders for my TM M1911A1, what mags do you use in them? How well do they fit the mag?

1911 mags are some of the most standard/commonly found mags in use with LE, etc.

You should have no problem finding a kydex holder for them - airsoft 1911 mags are very similar if not the same size as real-steel.

My 1911 mags are WA based and fit my Uncle Mikes holster perfectly.

Most kydex holsters have screw adjustments for desired tension and fit.

When I pickup my g18c, the g17 will come out of the carbine kit and will be able to make use of the dual wield reload mag holster again

Make sure you use warlord too, otherwise you won't be able to use any other attachments with your extended magazine ;)

Go ahead. It took duckman like 6+ years to come up with it and make it. Though I did have to modify it to make it better lol. He also has one for his 1911's. It was partly inspired by the movie Equilibrium.

It works well for pistol only games and was a Hollywood moment in a terminator game when I dropped the 249 and scared nubs when I drew both g17s and watched them run as I reloaded and kept firing.

Anyone here running a Comp-tac holster? Im currently waiting for mine to arrive. $120 after all said and done but I haven't heard a single bad thing about them.

I've got a Fobus Paddle holster for Sig P226.

And I also am waiting for a dual mag holster by Fobus.

it's a mag holster.
it's custom made. none exist other than the 2 made.
you'd have to make it yourself.

BUT, I think the floor plates on hicapa's are too big and you'd compromise the structural integrity of it by removing enough material to make the mag fit that way.

you can also still insert mags normally but you'd have to remove the bolt that is giving it extra retention.

I have contemplated running it on my left side versus on the lower back, with the forward mag laying sideways (for hands free reload while dual wielding) and the other one straight up for a normal draw when using one pistol in my right hand.

It would work with the 4.3 HiCapa mags as they don't have the huge base plate. It will be expensive to replace your mags but if you really want it, it seems possible.

yeah I'm a pistol person, when my G18c isnt in the carbine .. then plan is to have it with a twin and a single hand reload rig

just making the switch from Twin TM De hardkicks to a pair of G18c's ... carbines are just making the pistol life much more interesting LOL

i had my blackhawk holster and a drop leg panel lying around today and decided i no longer wanted it belt mounted, however i didnt want to get the molle adapter so this is what i came up with.

I don't think you'll find green zipties, but black for sure in Home Depot and places like that.

That looks fine to me. The more zip ties the merrier. Tacticool DIY, FTW.

When I'm feeling lazy, I run a semi-similar set up (minus zip ties) with the Serpa and paddle attachment looped over a patrol/MOLLE belt. The real BHI paddle attachment has more than enough tension to keep it in place (the clone probably doesn't), and the adjustable belt hook things help a bunch for getting that hooked into the MOLLE as well. All that saves me from changing from a dropleg to paddle mount for days when I have to be shooting airsoft in different venues/events.

No Sh*t. The first time I tried on the paddle with jeans and a leather belt, I was half way to taking my pants off just to get the paddle back off.

Yeah, makes me wish we had a proper indoor space up here; I'd love to do an old school "cops & robbers" thing with just pistols and street clothes. Like something out of a movie or TV show.

Maybe someone with a big house wouldn't mind some little dents in the wall and a busted piece of furniture or two... :rolleyes:

it was more a problem with the looseness of the panel it was attached to, it was possible i would have re sewn the molle in the middle to make it more sturdy. doesnt bother me that i have a few holes in my real one though

I am also a proud owner of a VCBOY Kydex 4.3 Holster that fits a real M6 illuminator. Imagine how hard it would have been to find that holster on the market. Oh yeah, he also was kind enough to give me VCBOY GEN 1 Pmag kydex mag pouches.

You find the standard rigger's belts flop around a lot under the load?

I have one of those belts they are amazing! Kinda pricey though.

I like the rigidity of the HSGI belt but have recently found myself using a non-rigid CTOMs x-belt more and more.
I found the D-ring on the HSGI getting in the way every once and awhile and since I really had no use for it I always thought about cutting it off.

Just more comfortable to me. Have recently been looking at the ranger belt by Ares gear more and more.

And yes these belts are expensive but they will last years and years under heavy use.

RCS Phantom LC for G20 for a G17(as per RM's advice) and a RCS double mag carrier, slated to arrive Feb 2013...see you guys next year.

Recently made a Kydex holster for my airgun (not airsoft).
Looks ugly, but works fine. As my first kydex work I am rather satisfied.

Where did you get those? or did you make them?

Christmas came early for me! RCS managed to build me a custom Phantom LC for my G17 in only 8 weeks. Fits really tight, starting to get better with repeated presentation, hopefully it'll be gameable soon.
