Just posted in his comments section and requested that he put a type of bolt stop function to keep it as real as possible. It may be to late, but here is to tying!

I don't understand, AKs don't have bolt stops...

Maybe a stop that just keeps the bolt from returning fully to battery.. so it does not fire when the mag is empty...

Ballcancer December 16th, 2010 12:18

Yea that's what i meant I found it hard to explain lol on a real ak the bolt just stays forward as there are no more rounds to cycle right?. So I was just requesting that he put in a sortif mechanical feature similar to other gbbrs and when the last bb is shot the bolt won't cycle until Its reloaded or somthing like that. Sorry for The confusion lol

Desmodus December 16th, 2010 12:26

ANOTHER AKS74U!? FFS, theres ENOUGH of them already! Full size or GTFO.

The blowback looks really good on that though....

R.I.T.Z December 16th, 2010 12:29

hmm could the src or ghk ones be modified into a full size?......

There's only four manufacture total so far, quiet down, its not like M4 with 10+
Daytonagun, GHK (no longer producing), SRC, and now we.

i think they where just stating that instead of just producing a aksu why not try and make a full sized AK ? there are m4's and m16's why not AK's and AKSU's?

Duh.. Marketing.. all the AK fanboys ( myself included ) will buy the AKSU... and then 3 months later they will buy the AK74 .. and then 3 months later they will buy the AK47

if they made the AK47 first .. they would likely reduce overall sales by 1/3

Evans December 16th, 2010 13:33

I want a full sized AK-74. Already got a AKS-74U aeg but would probably sell it if WE put the GBBR out quickly in Canada.

On that topic, anybody have an idea of how long a brand new line of GBBRs take to make it into Canada?

Hahaha, I'd never thought of that. Yeah, I guess that could be why most of the manufacturers came out with the 74 before the 47.

Desmodus December 16th, 2010 13:37

I don't think very long. I don't think it took too long at all to get the WE M14's over here from time the first prototype video was posted :/

Amos December 16th, 2010 13:50

Protip: they've got a full size 74 in development :)

Velocity arms will have any new WE release within weeks.

NVC December 16th, 2010 14:37

Wow WE is on fire with their GBBR line they are putting out. I hope price's will be comparable to the the SRC's. I am saving my bread for a full size one!

Ninja_En_Short December 16th, 2010 16:11

I want a 74M, need one to complete the paratrooper outfit... plus I hate this super short tendancy. Let's just hope WE or SRC will release a decent normal sized soon.

cmk0803 December 16th, 2010 16:36

the guy in the video is soo tai (taiwanese)

pusangani December 16th, 2010 16:47

Fuck I want one, don't care what length!

Ballcancer December 16th, 2010 16:57

So earlier today I posted a request to Weairsoft on YouTube requesting a proper bolt stop function he then replied as follows :::

說明中心 | 電子郵件選項 | 回報垃圾評論
WEairsoft 已回覆您對 WE AKS74U GBB proto.flv 的評論:

@luistheman001 Don't think that's a problem :) Personally I love watching those slick AK mag-change maneuvers with the lightning-fast racking of the charging handle! Just awesome !!

OK, that one's in the book.
您可以前往評論頁面以進行回覆。

So I think we will have an ak with proper function!!

If they do that then, and only then will i buy a GBBR AK, same with mp5s. Hate gbbs without some sort of bolt stops.

Ninja_En_Short December 16th, 2010 20:19

Hum... AK don't have bolt stop, you know it's empty when it stops shooting... and that's the way I like it.

thats why we need some sort of bolt stop/fire stop in the GBBR version, so it'll stop shooting, prefferably with the bolt forward.

Ballcancer December 16th, 2010 20:58

Yea that's what I told him I think he understood too just by what he said about the reloads and I hope the mp5 isn't open bolt like the well mp5 I want my gbbrs to be as close in function to the real thing and that's why I asked him I also remember when angelusnex noted that he hopes the p90 hopefully has a bolt stop so I figured I would suggest it before this is to far long into production

Also without a bolt stop it kinda turns the gbbrs aeg like as in when you run empty you just put in another mag and keep pulling the trigger. Unless you dry fire with a mag out then the charging handle would have a very little reason to be there with the exception of the initial load

Ninja_En_Short December 16th, 2010 22:09

Well, It was necessary But I always use the charging handle on AEG just as roleplaying feature :D

What do you mean? The WELL MP5 fires from an open bolt?

Ballcancer December 16th, 2010 23:24

Yea from what Iv seen in YouTube videos it's an open bolt so that it can gain the "increased rate of fire" unless I got the name wrong... That's what I saw anyway. Was thinking about picking one up but this turned me off from it completely.

LouisZimmerman December 17th, 2010 02:30

The SRC AKS74U has the 'bolt hold' (I'll call it that instead of bolt stop, since the function is different) feature. When the bb's are gone, the bolt stops at approx. 3/4 closed. When the mag is removed, it drops the rest of the way. (I test fired one this afternoon... :) )

This is I think a good Solution to the problem... when the mag is empty the bolt short cycles and stops you from firing dry.

I hope WE does the same thing

Hurley895 December 17th, 2010 10:05

So cost on this will be what...~650 in Canada. I'd go for that if it was the full size AK.

That's actually a really good idea will be neat to see what WE comes up with and I am going to agree with Brian in that I hope WE does the samething/something similar with theirs.

In the comments :

@Maku3225 People, this is a gun we've chucked "under the table" for 2 years (that is exactly what the boss was saying in the vid). That was a project was do on lunch breaks for fun...that's all. Not even sure if we're going to put it to production :) That's why the vid is up here to see if it does denerate some interest... or what model people actually want. We've got WAY TOO MANY such like GBB fun projects up our sleeves it not even funny... I suppose it all depends the mood what we do next :)

WEairsoft il y a 21 heures

so please! go like/vote for that video so they can see there IS an interest for that gun!

Double Tapper January 1st, 2011 19:33

I watched the video, are not the gas rod and the bolt two separate
pieces,I've only fired them and never seen inside?

Nope, piston is part of the bolt carrier, this is the ak operating system

Double Tapper January 1st, 2011 23:35

Cool,thanks Brian.

Mplanters January 2nd, 2011 00:40

wow! AK in slow motion here YouTube - GHK AKs-74u firing at 300 fps nice!!

Tommygun_ted January 2nd, 2011 21:42

I wouldnt mind seeing a blowback RPK ;)

Steven January 2nd, 2011 21:55

I still like Daytona better. Much more expensive and a gas line, but i still would take DG over Gas in mag.

Nice though, never enough AK's!

d4rksp4rt4n0 January 2nd, 2011 21:59

wow that is one sweet gun! any idea what these are going to cost??

Latvian291 January 3rd, 2011 07:46

At 430+ fps, are guns like the src gbb 74u even skirmishable? Or is this just for collectors?

I'm guessing that if the NPAS system isn't already compatible with it that someone will make something that will lower the FPS for the benefit of the Japanese, UK, US, and other countries that have such power limits (for import/play).

Fps limits at my field is 450 - 500 , if you wear proper protection there is no issue with these speeds.

I believe that the Well is a Maruzen clone. If I am right about this, then it fires from a true open bolt, as the Maruzen MP5K does. (Hellish ROF on that beast, at least the one that I've gamed with... but then it was upgraded to handle propane.)

Not really , I think the boys in Atlantic Canada play with similar rules.

Ninja_En_Short January 6th, 2011 14:54

Said above, about 650 in Canada more or less.

And I still want a full size 74M !

Correct on all points.
