How much does an echo 1 m249 para run for?

Hey guys. How much does an Echo 1 M249 PARA cost?

This is for information purposes only.

R.I.T.Z August 22nd, 2010 10:48

well about 400$ in the states so expect 2.5-3x in canadian so about 700+

Love August 22nd, 2010 11:06

Hmm. Alright.

Are echo 1's decent guns?

(Again for info purposes. I'd love to grab one when I get AV'ed. I'm 19 now, lol.)

Eeyore August 22nd, 2010 11:14

Well once you are av'ed you will see that there are actually quite a few M249's for sale in the classifieds currently. Any reason in particular you have decided to go with Echo1?

Qlong August 22nd, 2010 11:23

ECHO 1 m249 = A&K m249 + QC

here this may help you decide if its a good gun or not YouTube- M249 SAW PARA- Quality Review P. 1 of 3

try googling for reviews, or using the search function, theres a few reviews up here and across the web

Love August 22nd, 2010 11:39

Alright thanks ritz.

And, no particular reason at all. Just I thought it'd be one of the cheapest while being full metal and sexy.

So, they run about $700+ eh? Hmmm.

Edit: So the echo 1 m249 is the same as the A&K but the echo 1 has quality control?

A&K has the quality control
yeah most m249's run about 700$+ regardless of brand, my vote would be for a Classic Army or A&K

I own a A&K M249 and it is an absolute beast. I find absolutely no problems with the quality control. The only change I made was the hop up rubber and nub. Most people will change the hop up unit as well to the CA one. But keep your options open don't write off the A&K version because of peoples misgivings about it who have never used one.

Love August 22nd, 2010 11:47

Oh sorry. :P

My math sucks early in the mornin. :p

Thanks guys.

Are you guys able to tell me how much a echo 1 m249 is going for in the classifieds right now? If not, its cool. (So I know how much to save up for.)

the A&K is a direct clone of classic army is it not? i've used both a CA and A&K and find them both very fun

To be totally honest I havent seen a Echo1 in the classfieds yet, mainly A&K and Classic Army and roughly 800-900$ + they're not cheap

Love August 22nd, 2010 11:52

Alright.

A&K, CA and Echo 1 are all full metal m249's, yes?

A&K and CA are yes, and since the echo1 is a clone then it would be believed so that they are all metal. did you google or watch any of the reviews? all your questions of build, quality, accuracy and much else about the gun would be answered in a review.

the prices and availablity question i understand if you ask them here but all else can be answered with a search

Love August 22nd, 2010 12:00

Yea. the guy just awnsered the question in the video. Its all full metal, except the barrel shroud and foregrip.

I'm just worried about one thing.

I'm used to being on front lines in a "firefight" in airsoft. Or or being in mid ground.

I know the SAW is a support weapon used for taking down multiple traveling targets (or so I believe) and for providing cover fire. Im not sure how much I'd have to change my playing style...

I can tell you from experiance that its heavy, and at the end of the day you will be tired from humping it around with you. You need to be in very good shape to be able to run to where you are needing.

Love August 22nd, 2010 12:06

Hmm, I don't run much in airsoft. I jog. :p

I'm in pretty decent shape. And have a lot of energy thanks to adhd. hahaa

I'll think a lot ofcourse before I make any decision, as I do find myself in both situations. Sometimes I'd just lay and provide cover fire and try to take down guys. but then again, I also find myself jogging to a location, taking cover, shooting, then moving again.

Might as well ask this too:

If the Echo 1 M249 PARA breaks down, are parts readily availiable? or is it (or any other m249) going to be a pain in the butt to fix?

you can get barrels, mech boxes from various companies, stocks, forestocks, I saw a reciever once but that was an american site, I have an E-1 m249 MKII they won't break down. their pretty solid guns

aZn_triXta07 August 24th, 2010 18:53

They used to run for $700

Now the supply of China guns has diminished.

Good luck finding one :P

Get a Classic Army!

Love August 24th, 2010 19:02

I have an opportunity to get one for $500. Brand new.

I'm 19, not AV'ed. So its not from this site, no worries.

If thats a CA M249 for $500, snatch that shit up now.

Love August 25th, 2010 11:50

Its an Echo 1, should I still snatch it up?

Love August 25th, 2010 14:16

Sweet.

The seller is gonna toss in a madbull 6.03 barrel and a systema m110 spring.

Crunchmeister August 25th, 2010 14:19

The beauty of that gun is the quick-swap spring. You can replace springs in a matter of a few minutes if you need to change velocities.

But I have the A&K version. Other than the hopup being shit and needing some modding or replacement, it's a beast of a gun. I did a slight mod on the hopup and still don't dare to install the CA replacement I bought for it a year ago, as I fear it may not work as well. The range on it with the current setting is just retarded...

Crunchmeister August 25th, 2010 14:44

Dutchie, you seriously need to read the forum rules. That post you just made is a MAJOR violation of forum rules.

Love August 27th, 2010 11:27

How much does a new hopup cost?

And how would I install it?

Danke August 27th, 2010 11:31

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1336

It's held on be a C-clip, just like any other. With the quick release barrel it's pretty easy to get to.

Crunchmeister August 27th, 2010 11:48

The "mod" I did was replacing the stock hopup nub with a piece of 16 gauge speaker wire insulation. Works better than any hopup I've seen to date and it was free.

Love August 27th, 2010 11:51

Ouch, $50.

Crunch, do you have a guide to your method? :)

Danke August 27th, 2010 11:58

Here's a really good and detailed review with photos and notes of the fixes for some of the little glitches like the hop up nub.

http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/revie...49-para/cat/16

Love August 27th, 2010 12:27

Thanks Danke.

I see that, that review mentions the method that crunch used, but shows an alternate method.

Is there a guide on how to do crunch's method? (Using some electrical wire to make a nub.)?

1. Remove hopup nub (stupid easy to do)
2. Strip piece of insulation from a 16 gauge speaker wire
3. using an exacto, cut it the same length as the hopup nub.
4. Replace nub with the piece you cut
5. Reassemble hopup / gun
6. Fire gun and laugh at people getting hit 150 feet away.

I would like to add that you can also port the hole where the bb enters. It made a difference on my A&K m249. I got mine second hand with all upgraded gears, piston, spring, stainless tight barrel, airseal nozzle and mosfet for 120 bucks from a friend and it was only used for 3 games. I'm really happy with mine and even for the price of a brand new one its still a great gun cause a lot of upgrades and fixes are available.

THe_Silencer October 6th, 2010 03:42

Lucky you! Brand new M249s def cost more than $129 here. :(

Airsoft guns are a lot cheaper here in the Philippines and we're also neighbors with Taiwan, China and Japan. Though our community is having a 1 1/2 month break due to a gun ban cause of a coming local election. Anyway I never thought being a gunner is so much fun! The m249 is a joy to tinker with cause its so easy to get the mechbox out and the mechbox is so easy to fix and upgrade. If you can't afford or find a mosfet you can use a car horn relay as a substitute which is cheaper and easier to find.

Evil_yd April 17th, 2011 00:18

i would like to ask about the quality of the Box mag on both the Echo1 and A&K, are they reliable or complete crap.

holy necropost batman!!! Anyways box mags are pretty decent actually just has trouble feeding while on the sound control option when you're firing on high rof (bb's cant keep up), on auto feeding it feeds beautifully.
