I did a bit modify on the original old feeding ramp while ago and working fine. Almost as same as the new design but not as wide as the opening like Crusader one. But I really would like to use the new plastic one see how durable it is.

You guys know if RS trigger group parts will fit? I heard a rumor that they'll drop in with a little sanding

Sequential October 17th, 2013 21:40

How about you buy one and try it :)

I bet probably not.

By the way is the SD3 the same thing as the SD6 with cosmetic difference? They are both second gen mp5 from vfc right?

SD3 is the SEF lower, SD6 is the pictogram lower.

And yes certain RS parts are drop in fit for the VFC MP5, if you check out a guy called Nugetgl on YouTube he has a RS sear spring assembly in his because the VFC one couldn't cope with a steel sear.

Quick question for those of you (i presume all) from Canada, how do these things cope in the cold?
Thought you guys would be the best to ask, got a night game coming up, need to use my MP5 and it's getting rather chilly over this side of the pond.

I use MAPP gas in the cold weather.

During the warmer weather propane is good. If it is around 15-Celsius you get cool down a bit quicker though.

Why would you waste the money and get a VFC one? the vfc mp5 parts are overly priced. if you can get an AEG one from those Chinese manufactures go with those as they are more cost effective.

The problem is, most handguards are supposed to keep battery in it - therefore they are bigger than RS. That might be the reason why he would like to do that - and thats the reason I would like to put standard VFC grip to my AEG.

AEG offtop:
And it all depends on your AEG - Cyma is more or less copy of G&G, but there was modification needed to put RIS from cyma on G&G. Whats more, I was about buying JG (most likely, don't remember) grip for my Cyma, but when i have received photos of handguard mounted on cyma, I noticed that it is not parallel with the gas tube. So its not said that if it works with one brand, it will work fine with all of them.

Sorry, my last question wasn't clear, what I mean is, I'm looking to buy a tactical light hand guard for my AEG mp5, and I found a vfc v-light tactical hand guard that I like, but it's list for gbb, just wonder if I can also use it for AEG mp5. ( I know there is a g&p mp5 hand guard with tac light for an AEG, but I'm more interest in vfc Product )

cookedham October 30th, 2013 14:36

If u like vfc product, why don't you buy a vfc real MP5 gbb? Instead of getting all the vfc parts and try to fit in a aeg MP5? It doesn't make sense to me

cookedham October 30th, 2013 14:40

And by the way this is a vfc MP5 gbb thread, I think u might be in a wrong discussion

badbin October 30th, 2013 14:58

I got a H&K mp5 aeg by vfc. The reason I posting here because the vfc v-light is list under gbb, I'm hoping someone here have a vfc v-light and can tell me the difference.

spartan117 October 30th, 2013 15:34

i talked to VFC directly before asking the same question a few months back. They said the V-light doesn't fit the AEG as the receiver is wider than the gbb version.
