Is it just me or does that gun "pew pew"?

:D

Wow... This thread's funny.

You PTW owners are VERY mis-guided.

Do you honestly think it COSTS systema over 100 bucks a gun to produce? It's all automated... They don't even CNC the bodies..

If I ran a store in the states and could order 200+ full PTW's at a time I'd be able to get them for under 350 dollars each... Sadly, Canadian importation restrictions stop us from doing that.

I'm still laughing.

Their pictures of Gen 1 and Gen 2 PTW parts sure doesn't help ether on their website:D

TBH theirs only 2 retailers that might carry them. War Store in NY and some kid in the states that sell CA guns that are suppose to be PTW killers (he puts a lipo and changes the piston and its TeH PTW Killaz).

People have been waiting quite some time for those CTW's and they still haven't delivered. That video can very easily be a blank body + buffed M150 spring. People have been buffing their M150 spring for that silver look for quite some time and they have also been different springs. Heck not long ago SAA have been selling M170 springs already cut and ready to drop it in the M150 cylinder.

Meh. The originals will always be best....

HFC M190 begs to differ.

Either way, I just bought an actual PTW.
We'll see how they stack up.

That only works if you have the CTW and PTW in your hands at the same time. ;)

People don't have the CTW, so...........

???

HFC M190? Relation?

mcguyver September 28th, 2008 18:01

I had an HFC M190 in 2005. It was a pig. I sold it and bought a KSC G19 and never looked back. I still the FA compensator for that version of one sitting on my workbench.

I was gonna say.

The only clone I've had success with is the KJW capa... But still isn't as good as the TM variant.

Nathan, if you DO get both, vids, and pics. Immediately. </demand>

If it ever does come out, it'll be an interesting option for those who can't properly work on regular mechboxes (97% of people, despite the delusions of many) and can't afford or otherwise don't wanna drop a huge wad on the Systemas.

Honestly I'd rather see sub-par-by-Systema-standards PTWs like that than the cruddy clearsoft/ACM plastic junk/soft air crap that's starting to pass for "decent" guns these days.

Bob the Angry Potato September 28th, 2008 18:12

Oh god. NEVER get the full auto HFC M190, that thing was shit.
Still, the regular stock HFC M190 semi-auto was amazing, that thing outranged the TM by a retarded amount, were built like beasts and was probably my favourite pistol I've ever owned. Full auto ones are complte shit, though.

When CTW's in my hands- if it is, I'll do a comparison review. At this rate it's looking more and more iffy.

mcguyver September 28th, 2008 18:21

I never owned the FA M190, but I had to look at a few that did not work. Little cast plunger for the fire selector broke, and renedered the gun useless. Parts not available.

I had a few of those guns in a box under my bench (minus those parts), and I think they all went in the trash. The semi-only "special forces" version couldn't empty a mag on 1 gas fill at anything less than room temperature, and was nowhere near as accurate as the Marui Hicappa.

Lol wat
Mine emptied 2 1/2 mags on one fill, about as accurate as my pre-upgrade Hicapa, and I'm not the only one. Looks like yours was knackered or a lemon, most likely the latter.

mcguyver September 28th, 2008 18:38

Your's is full metal? Mine was, the only plastic on the gun was the grip. And that chunky slide took alot to move it, hence the poor gas consumption. It was a fault of the design, not a gun in need of repair. And the retailer sold quite a few of them, and they were all the same way.

He got a few complaints about them, but there was nothing to be fixed. But at least they came in a nice case.

Bob the Angry Potato September 28th, 2008 18:43

That's really, really odd.
I've fired 5 total, several in Hong Kong. I guess it was really quite hot there, so they worked perfectly there- but I seem to remember mine working pretty well in late fall, still 2 1/2 mags gas consumption.
I'm not too sure what to say to that.
