are u going to let airsoft into the country??

Jaaks May 27th, 2008 02:01

hey crunch, I just ordered $500+ worth of stuff from ehobbyasia... >.< that includes 20 M4 Mags and 2 P226 Mags along with a few other electronics. Now I'm friggen concerned out of my mind. Thank God I paid for insurance on the whole deal, if they break a bunch of items ehobby will send me new ones right? But then again they'd probably just tear them all apart a second time... sigh...

Hope I get lucky...

oh hey I tried to find out this, from the FAQ but I couldn't seem to find a thread related to it, but will customs allow Americans with airsoft guns to bring them across for personal use? My cousins play airsoft in the US and want to come up and play sometime. Anyone know where I can find out more info on that or have experience with it?

TokyoSeven May 27th, 2008 02:05

Howdy Jaaks, quite the huge wad of money you put with ehobby. Hopefully that works out for you without issue. If you didnt order anything restricted like fake founds or an AEG you should have no issues at all. However, it has been noted that customs can be a little over curious and take mags apart and not put them back together. I'll stop there though, I dont want to put any scary thoughts into your head.

As for your cousin, unfortunetly he will have to leave his gun in the states and rent one when he comes to Canada. He can always take the chance and try to get through the border either sneaking it or attempting to declare it, but honestly I would chance neither and just rent one when he got into country.

Yea, well I actually ordered gear for my friends and myself, a lot of it was very simple cheap stuff for starters like gloves and bags, no guns. Only expensive things I've bought from them was a PEQ, a load of mags and a few springs to downgrade my incoming KWA.

ahh that's a bummer, I guess we'll have to think of something for him to do. Thanks for the help

Thought I'd share some good news, I've just received all my items intact, none missing and nothing destroyed or opened!! And it only took 6 days!! I am very impressed, I paid for them all on Friday and they arrived here in the late afternoon! ^_^ Thank the Lord!!

Hope everyone gets to be as lucky as I was today! Happy AS'ing

I've got a set of ak47 wood grips in there since sunday, no update on the cp website either, still says "International item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs "

Jaaks May 28th, 2008 19:42

I guess I was lucky, everything was nylon or plastic, only thing was my two p226 metal mags.

Crunchmeister May 28th, 2008 19:48

eHobby are great and ship really fast. Love dealing with them.

They can hold them for a couple of days at times. Usually, it takes longer if the sender declares it as a gift or understates the value. Then they research the items for their actual value so they can levy the correct customs fees on it. And with how CP works, there's a good chance you'll have the parts in your hands before the CP site gets updated.
