I'd be interested in seeing a package price for the 4 unit "maximum explosure" package with a long range remote. Also curious what the range of that remote would be.

While I'm personally more interested in the effect than the look of a thing, a lot of guys I play with are "mil-sim" nuts and don't want odd contraptions in the game unless it looks like an existing military device of some sort. Would anyone who's seen the thing be willing to state that it looks sufficiently mil-sim with an OD paint job to please a mil-sim militant?

Naturally a picture would be good but I can understand the lack of them at this stage of the game.

The price base price for a unit with the medium range remote, (150-250meter range) will be $190, with the long range remote will be $15 more, a bit more $ definately but possibly worth the additonal dollars for the expanded capabilities it offers.

Well for when Zero Delay is back... I'm very interested!

I help Lance build these suckers. The do not look anything like a real Claymore. But I guarantee they will more than exceed your expectations performance wise.

If you want to know what they look like, they resemble a coiled snake, That's why Lance named them the "Krait" directional mine. I guess there were snakes in vietnam called Kraits that once they bit, you only made it about 2-3 steps before you dropped dead.

Also, do not worry about stock availablity, if you want them and have the cash we will crank them out in a weekend.

I'm going to shoot another test clip using the pressure/release switch. That'll demonstrate the mine's ability to be used in either a pressure applied trigger (as in applying pressure to the actuator, or in the release mode weight removed from the trigger. I'll also get a shot with four mines jacked in, each individually detonated sequentially , that will provide an excellent demonstration of the coverage these units are capable of.

Here is a clip of four individually fired units, triggered off of the four channel remote sytem consecutively.

I can send out the video if any one i interested in having a closer look, there are some pretty dramatic frames where the mine is disrupting the dust in front of it the instant it is fired, looks kind of cool.

Here is an additional clip of the mine attached to the pressure switch, rigged for weight release. the item holding the switch down is a Nerf pocket vortex.

Awsome devices, I'm kinda scared what you could do if you had real explosives

Never touch the stuff lol

I would sell an AEG to buy a setup w/2 mines...

In fact, I might HAVE to do that...

Just a quick question - in terms of powering the whole unit (electronically), what needs what batteries, how many, and where?

zero delay April 8th, 2006 06:01

you need about $5-10 worth of batteries depending on quallity of battery you use, the batteries are sealed inside the electronics housing pack.

zero delay April 8th, 2006 11:40

I forgot to add that the units are shipped with batteries so they are ready to use out of the box when they each the end user.

I picked up one of these a couple weeks back and it's great. Easy to use, easy to rig, and the construction is very solid. I think a person would actually conciously have to try to break one of these to do it damage. It fires nicely using bbs, beans, popcorn, M&Ms, etc so the cost of ammo is pretty cheap and it kicks out a decent spread pattern with or without the choke in use. Tripwire setup is nice, as is the pressure plate (which works positive and negative ie. when you apply pressure or when you remove pressure), but the radio detonator makes it almost too much fun.

I picked up the co2 powerlet attachement at the local cycle shop as well as a small hand pump; both work decent to power the unit but the co2 injector is definitley faster and quieter. Now all I need to do is get enough money to pick up three more....

zero dealy ! this is awsome ! but other than the first video the rest of videos aren't so clear. ( I can't see the mine itself. )

G_O_D April 17th, 2006 11:47
