(btw, not a real challenge, and no hats will be eaten either way) |
As long as you keep shooting until the target acknowledges the hit you will have little trouble with hit takers.
I use semi auto fire pretty much exclusively both indoors and out.. and have not really had any issues. Shooting .3 bbs helps FPS limit at my field is 450 FPS .. this helps as well |

You know... I could offer to proxy all grenade related posts for Wild and coach for a week. But only if there is going to be hat consuming involved.
And only if jay makes more of that butter shrimp Oh god... I Must Have More!!! |

On another note, its not the guys that you need to lite up for them to call there hits that bug me its the guys you hit once or twice then take cover and look around to see if anyone else saw it then decide not to call their hits. Those are the ones that piss me off Or when you hit clearly hit someone a few time (and watch them look and the place you hit them) then when you move onto the next target and they shoot you with the loud "I hit you, you are out" comment Grrrr |

This pisses me off more than guys that don't take hits.. People who shout at people and attempt to shame them into taking hits..that may or may not have happened. in the time it take to shout at someone you could have shot them 5 more times and avoided the whole calling them a cheater thing. At my place, (TTAC3) calling other's hit is grounds for immediate ejection from the facility, it is crass , objectionable and boorish and not tolerated. |

Not you see my frustration lol |
What to do when someone doesnt call their hits
http://www.airsoftpost.com/images/la..._MGL_DE_lg.jpg Target : "OWWW OK OK! IM HIT!" You : "IM SORRY I CANT HEAR YOU OVER ALL OF THE GRENADES GOING OFF!!!" *KACHUNK KACHUNK KACHUNK KACHUNK KACHUNK KACHUNK!* |
I have used paintball BB's in old springer pistols and shotgun. They suck balls. They chop and sometimes don't even explode on impact.

There is no room for paint in airsoft.
I prosecute my target until it calls hit or I run out of ammo. After that I walk up and start a calm conversation. My pet peeve is people that call hit like they have no balls. You fucking YELL hit at the TOP OF YOUR LUNGS. You put your hand in the air, and then you drop your mag and either raise your gun or put on a kill rag. People have goten pissed at me because called hit like pussies. Like I give a fuck. If you don't have the time to raise your voice or your gun, I don't have time to turn on my Bionic Hearing. |

I'd rather shoot someone twice though then get shot myself. |
The audible aspect is a clutch point. I'm more of the mind that hits have to be visually acknowledged. Kill rags leave little doubt between a guy laying prone ready to fight and a guy just laying down....same with sitting or standing. More than not you only get to see part of the person...not his whole body, weapon, stance, etc..
Last FTF weekend I lit up Talon with 1 1/2 mags (partial mag, full mag, start of 3rd mag...40+ rounds) at 400fps because I did not see that I had hit him. He was prone just over a berm, I was standing on the other side of the berm. I got the drop on him and shot...I kept shooting and reloading and shooting until I saw his hands up palm forward "surrender" action. By then some of my own teammates who were dead around him (Talon's awesome and wiped them out) were calling that he was hit already. Up until then it was pop up, see him, shoot, pop down, repeat. Probably all over in 5 seconds Honestly...I couldn't hear him. Earbud comm in one ear...GBBR rocking in the other. I think Talon was wearing a full face mask (or a sensi mask lower or something) which muffles sound. Of course I felt bad after for overshooting, especially after when he said that I had gotten him early on...but I can say for certain that if the situation repeated itself I would have kept shooting until I knew the target had acknowledged the hit. Wild waving of arms would have done the trick too. Sorry Talon. |
I've had guys that will walk out of the bush after I've shot them, like their on patrol. Then get pissed when I shoot them, afain. If you are not going to wear a kill rag, then hold your weapon above your head so I know you have been hit, while calling hit.
I will put my weapon above my head while calling hit (every few seconds), until I can get my kill rag out. Once the kill rag is on my head, I stop calling hit, not before. |
