Well, to some people, the smell of a smoker home, not just smoke, is nauseating. Personally, its one of the most horrible smells. Id rather have Rosie Odonnel's unwashed ass an inch from my face then smell that rotten smoke smell.

You completely miss the point.....My question is why has nobody ever put this in his feedback before?

FOX_111 January 15th, 2008 18:31

And the point is that no body, especially a non smoker, want his stuff smokey stinky.

Even if I wanted, I could not be able to wear something that smell of cigaret. It's sickening.

because it really insnt that big a deal... not enough to break a deal, or warrent neutral or negative feedback. the sale, price and delivery are always good from him, and thats what trader rateing is there to track, not the smell of the item.

egsactly.

Wow are you not the pot calling the kettle black........ God forbid someone disagree with you.

Ronan January 15th, 2008 19:58

It's not for anyone to judge if its a big issue or not.

Apparently he wasn't happy so was a couple other people. If the issue doesn't bother YOU then don't post since it will only piss other people off since this is a thread about people that it DOES bother.

I'm kinda with Yuxi. The "smell" of the product doesn't really warrant negative feedback.

...IMHO.

Aquamarine January 15th, 2008 20:03

Gotta agree with Yuxi and for kos. Sorry king.

One less person to come over to drink my beer, it's safe. Cool! Although I only smoke in the basement and outside, not everywhere else.

Boche January 15th, 2008 20:30

Judging by the time and expense of having to remove the smoke stink from the gear as suggested by helpful posters, I'd consider the item 'damaged' ....the same as if a purchased gun arrived with a broken tappet, for example.

True, so maybe it doesn't deserve all the bitching but it does deserve a negative feedback.

Giving negative feedback here is not like if you were ruining the other guy's credit, you're just making other people know in what kind of condition they can expect their stuff to be in.

Like I said, its not the smoke smell itself. Im an occasional smoker myself.
Many smokers I know don't "stink".
Im not talking about the smell of burning tobacco, Im talking about that rotten smell of old 70s furniture that has turned yellow with the smell, that stale, musty ashtray stink. Like the stink of bong water....but not.

I know what you mean. Real heavy smokers have that terrible stench which impregnate all their clothes, belongings and house/apartment. They are usually unaware because they are so used to it. It's like old people smell.

Drake January 16th, 2008 00:51

Negative feedback should be left if you had a negative experience: it's completely subjective. It's up to other people to not be complete morons and read the feedback and decide for themselves.

But I still think it's crappy to receive stuff that smells like smoke.

I've bought stuff from smokers before, had a BDU shirt modded by Morb (who mentioned he smokes), the problem of smelly gear has never come up. My shirt came back from Morb's smelling just as nice as when it left my house (I strongly suspect because he isn't an ass and treats other peoples' things with respect).

The point is you shouldn't have to "try and fix" something that's supposed to be new. If I sent someone something smeared with dogshit, it would come out easily in the wash, but that doesn't make it okay.
