Well, to some people, the smell of a smoker home, not just smoke, is nauseating. Personally, its one of the most horrible smells. Id rather have Rosie Odonnel's unwashed ass an inch from my face then smell that rotten smoke smell.

You completely miss the point.....My question is why has nobody ever put this in his feedback before? |
And the point is that no body, especially a non smoker, want his stuff smokey stinky.
Even if I wanted, I could not be able to wear something that smell of cigaret. It's sickening. |

It's not for anyone to judge if its a big issue or not.
Apparently he wasn't happy so was a couple other people. If the issue doesn't bother YOU then don't post since it will only piss other people off since this is a thread about people that it DOES bother. |

...IMHO. |
Gotta agree with Yuxi and for kos. Sorry king.

Judging by the time and expense of having to remove the smoke stink from the gear as suggested by helpful posters, I'd consider the item 'damaged' ....the same as if a purchased gun arrived with a broken tappet, for example.

Giving negative feedback here is not like if you were ruining the other guy's credit, you're just making other people know in what kind of condition they can expect their stuff to be in. |

Many smokers I know don't "stink". Im not talking about the smell of burning tobacco, Im talking about that rotten smell of old 70s furniture that has turned yellow with the smell, that stale, musty ashtray stink. Like the stink of bong water....but not. |

Negative feedback should be left if you had a negative experience: it's completely subjective. It's up to other people to not be complete morons and read the feedback and decide for themselves.
But I still think it's crappy to receive stuff that smells like smoke. I've bought stuff from smokers before, had a BDU shirt modded by Morb (who mentioned he smokes), the problem of smelly gear has never come up. My shirt came back from Morb's smelling just as nice as when it left my house (I strongly suspect because he isn't an ass and treats other peoples' things with respect). The point is you shouldn't have to "try and fix" something that's supposed to be new. If I sent someone something smeared with dogshit, it would come out easily in the wash, but that doesn't make it okay. |
