yes.. the website is now back up.. but it was down a little earlier in the week..

BloodSport August 21st, 2007 20:33

This smells more shady to me as each week passes. This thread is what 1, 2 months old? A week ago you said you paid for the thompson as it was ready, I know Canada Post is slow and all, but GTA to GTA doesnt take a week to ship.....

LyquidFyre August 28th, 2007 12:49

Has there been any more updates on this?

Really interested if they actually have an authentic product.

Hmm... I have yet to pay for the Thompson. Re-read one of my previous posts.

Adam contacted me to let me know why there was a delay due to an emergency trip out of town that put him behind schedule. Said it will be shipped next week. That was said on the 25th.

Take it for what it is.

BloodSport August 28th, 2007 13:03

How many times have you been given a new date now due to some problem?

TokyoSeven August 28th, 2007 13:06

I dont know, as much faith as Id like to have, this is really starting to fish up hardcore.

Yeah.. I know. This is taking a while. He said progress pics will be coming. I ain't paying until its ready anyway, so its more of a waiting game right now.

BloodSport August 28th, 2007 13:28

But if he said 2 weeks ago it be ready in 2 weeks, and just needs a few more days due to that trip, you'd think that it should be almost completed no?

1+1 = 2 in my books, but right now from the informaiton available it looks like 1+1 = 1 in his.

ancorp August 28th, 2007 13:31

Well, I don't know how long the trip was, but yeah, it should be pretty close to being finished. We'll see how it goes.

dontask August 28th, 2007 13:32

well as long as they didn't make you pay for it up front it should be fine

ancorp August 28th, 2007 13:42

Just sent an email a couple mins ago asking Adam for pics, and he already replied, a coat of paint is drying right now, I will receive a pic of it once it dries, later this afternoon.

BloodSport August 28th, 2007 13:47

Correct me if I'm wrong too, but this is a non operational model right? Basically a die cast model...... if so damn heck of a long time for a model.

Rainer did you ever get your actual operation AEG's?

ancorp August 28th, 2007 13:51

Yeap its a model. Remember those pics I posted that he sent me of his previous work? He said it takes a lot of finishing and painting to make it look as realistic as that.

Once again, I'ma sit back, relax, and wait for results on Adam's end. I suggest you do the same.

I still don't have any doubts that this is completely legit.

blade1220 August 28th, 2007 13:59

@Bloodsport

I work on orders in the order they come in. Rainer's order was the last one to come in.

ancorp August 29th, 2007 08:10

Here it is so far (received pic last night):

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...p/DSCN0326.jpg

It's still in its early stages, still needs the trigger/front sight/cocking handle. Needs to be fully painted and both the metal and wood to be detailed. Barrel is all metal.

Cheers,
Alex

Styrak August 29th, 2007 10:31

Why didn't you get an airsoft gun version?!

What use is that?

MadMorbius August 29th, 2007 10:36

That looks suspiciously like "a device that is designed or intended to exactly resemble, or to resemble with near precision, a firearm, and that itself is not a firearm, but does not include any such device that is designed or intended to exactly resemble, or to resemble with near precision, an antique firearm".

Bah, wall hangers are useless!

BloodSport August 30th, 2007 13:52

Still 2 months is a damn long time for a wall hanger.......... I could shit one out faster.

If it was an operational AEG ancorp I could understand the delays getting all the parts and such in due to the current hassels everyone is having.
But a model....... damn you have more patience then I do, and I'm pretty patient on things as it is.... well except for when I see a gun I want then I'm all over it like a fat kid at Willy Wokna's Factory.

You have a PTW, but you're getting.. a... BE XM8? Talk about downgrade :p

BloodSport August 30th, 2007 16:48

heh heh I'm working on a second PTW, M14, SR-25 and so on.

XM8 will make a good rental gun.

Don't get me wrong. I love the XM8. But damn, from super solid, to pseudo solid.. People will always want to rent your PTW hahahahaha

If you're looking for a second PTW, you can jump on the G/O with us. Some south island guys, and QSTF guys will be running one real soon. Pm me if you're interested :)

I have a feeling that M14 is getting an EBR kit.. :p

TokyoSeven August 30th, 2007 16:55

That BE Xm8 would be great project gun (quoting someone else), once you get a new barrel in there and a new v3 mechbox and guts, it wouldnt be to bad.

SuperCkicken September 8th, 2007 17:36

any updates latly?

BloodSport September 17th, 2007 11:22

So Ancorp, its been another 2 weeks since your last update at which time the gun was in the early stages of painting. And according to Blades post they work on guns in order which means that your gun should have been completed by now should it not? *cough* whats the newest story now? *cough*

MadMorbius September 17th, 2007 12:39

Hey Greg, any updates?

:( I know, this is taking quite a while. No updates on the gun yet...

LOL. Basically, it's crap.

What sucks more is you don't read. I will be paying ONCE its ready to ship, and I have full quality pics of it completed.

So far all I spent is time. I still have no doubt that this is by no way a scam, what so ever.

Its not terrible, its touch to find an Xm8 style bodies out there, once you swap out the guts, it would be better. Like I said, project gun.

Hahah. W/e.

BloodSport September 17th, 2007 13:29

Ancorp I think its the way you worded it in one of your previous posts, it sounded like you said you paid but havent.

I even read it that way a couple times and was wondering wtf.

That was for the assumption that I paid. Key words "right when the Thompson was ready". Since its not ready as we all know, then I of course have not paid yet.

Explain how when no money has changed hands? A scam of getting our hopes high? Or do you just like being pessimistic?

Indeed, it's a scam of getting our hopes high!

White_knight September 17th, 2007 16:05

i just don't feel its worthwhile to get our hopes up on this. even if this guy is 100% ligit he is still making non firing model guns, and to my understanding that makes them replicas. replicas that are in the black area of the law, the black are that say they are illegal. so IMHO if this isn't a scam, its still illegal. Also for airsoft PR if this guy gets raided, then wouldn't that tie us to clearly illegal practices? (100000 x worse then stupid kids with crapsoft)

MadMorbius September 17th, 2007 16:36

Read again. There's some tidbit in there about antique weaponry... And I'd say WWII is defiantly antique.

People, take a day off work/school tomorrow, as on that day, I would like all of us to join hands across Canada in celebration of the 3 month anniversary of me ordering that Thompson. Lighting candles is optional.

Nope.

BloodSport September 25th, 2007 18:15

Well I'd say that actions pretty much speak here, multiple promises for delivery times failed, multiple excuses for new dates.

Safe to say, I'd never give them any money.

13Fido13 September 25th, 2007 18:20

It's quite upsetting that they could not deliver.. Depending on the quality I'm sure that many people here would want to pick something up. I know that I was one of them, to figure out how well these things would work.

ancorp September 25th, 2007 18:46

Its not like I said its not coming, its just being delayed for a while... who knows.

Lets keep this as is for now. Hopefully he'll reply sometime soon to give me an update as always.

Cheers,
Alex

Last I've heard from Adam several days ago when I asked for an update - all orders will be ready to ship by the end of October.

If. I mean If. Given that there is still a chance for anything to happen. If this deal fell through it is quite sad, due to the amount of initial interest that was generated.

SuperCkicken November 1st, 2007 00:12

yes it is unfortunate, but so what if it even does come, takes them several months to make one model and not even an airsoft one( it isnt an airsoft one is it? ), that is way to long as the amount of buisness theyd get would be overwhelming if it was of good quality

Mariposa November 6th, 2007 16:51

Well guys I was hoping this would be a good thing but as I said before it was too good to be true. I am glad no money changed hands, and thier web site is still down.

arman November 7th, 2007 03:51

that ill happen

it just did.....shitty

MadMorbius November 7th, 2007 18:36

Maybe some day all you guys will sit back and listen for a change when one of us "old timers" tells you something smells like shit. I mean, what do we know, right?

*sigh*

Boche November 7th, 2007 18:58

I, personally, don't think these guys were out to scam people. They ran with an idea that was unfeasible. It happens. I've got numerous projects at home that I started with the best of intentions, but turned to shit halfway through to completion due to unforeseen complications.

Agreed. The way the communication went, his personal life and job really cut into his new business. I hope he replies someday.

But nothing was lost (except the time to check this thread) so what he/we do wrong? In this case it was better to have tried at least to get these incredibly rare guns, like the STG44, even though the chances were low that it would happen

13Fido13 November 7th, 2007 22:20

I've got to agree with Koopa.. No money changed hands, and we aren't any further back from where we started. We actually found out that there is the potential to make a weapon out of the materials that were previously discussed.

It's just too bad they couldn't get the final product out up until this point. (There is always a chance that they could get things figured out, stranger things have happened...)
