The bushings have larger/smaller inner diameters, do you know what diameter would work?

WE 1911 Stainless recoil spring guide & bushing.
Any of you still looking to solve your WE 1911 problems....
I have made a few of the following parts for some of my local guys... I have been looking into making a batch of these if there is enough interest to justify my time/cost. The ones I have sold, I have included a %150 recoil and hammer spring. The parts are currently machined by me, from 440 Stainless. I am looking to gauge interest before I proceed with making a large batch of them. Let me know by PM if interested. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_R...0/IMG_2237.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_R...0/IMG_2222.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_R...2/IMG_2239.JPG |
Wouldn't that have an ugly spring guide coming in the front of the 1911?

The way I solved my problem, just so I would not destroy the spring plug once again, is by inserting a thin rubber washer between the spring guide and the spring. Just trim what exceed the guide since washer are usually larger than it.
My gun is running very fine like this. I've encountered no problem, and the plug has stopped getting hurt inside (no marking). But what Drake suggest is I think pretty simpler than what I've done. |
