I think there is kit out to upgrade it to G version.

There have been cases where a tooth would be broken in half becasue they were shot in the teeth. Seems to be extremly strong.

There have been instances of damaged teeth with FPS under 350.

I must be doing something wrong. My KAR chronied around 300 with duster, and at most 425-450 with propane.

Sorry for the totally Noob question, but what is "duster"?

I am familiar with 134a and green gas for my pistols but I havent heard of that I am afraid!

Duster is 134a. Called that because some brands of computer dust remover use that substance and it can be extracted for use in airsoft guns.

One thing though, where the did you get your scope? I have a authentic strap and leather pouches for the spare mags I bought, but no scope!

The only place I could find one was Redwolf but they just sold out! Does anyone know where to get one of these?

I got the scope by googling my brains out, and found some guy in the US who had sold his rifle to someone who did not want the scope (!!!) so he was left with the scope to sell by itself.

If you are patient they pop up every once in a while. I would not reccomend ordering from WWIIguns.com as you likely will get ripped off.

I got my scope as well not too long ago
took it off soon after, i was abit disapointed : (
i guess i was looking for something more authentic looking and more magnification.
Maybe i should drill my gun and mount real steel scopes on it :-)

I bought myself one of those el-cheapo nornico JW-25 'mini-mausers'.

It's a replica of the KKW mauser trainer (chambered in .22).

It has a dovetail milled into the reciever, onto which I placed a dovetail-to-weaver adapter and chucked a cheap 4 x 32 scope on top.

Doesn't look all that authentic, but it does the trick.

I was about to suggest just getting a dovetail to weaver adapter to everyone here, but it occurred to me early on that the replicas probably DON'T have a dovetail on them.

I'm guessing the folks at Norinco probably don't give two wet sharts about authenticity.
