Your kit looks very impressive. I'm assuming that it's not real WW2 surplus, so I'm kind of curious as to where you got it.

I have some original wwII surplus on me

Bayonet --- 1944
Folding shovel --- 1940
Canteen --- 1940
Breadbag --- no date, apparently original, which I'm not so sure... I believe it's a early postwar.
Belt --- around 1935, according to the seller.
Mess tin --- postwar, but same size and almost same model as original
Gas mask --- original, unfortunately no date, but I believe it's late war.

Uniform, helmet, y-strap, mp40 pouches, bayonet frog, it's reproduction.

I got stock from ebay, gunshow, internet seller (at the front, 1944militaria)

Very impressive Cheese. You did a great job on the Fallshirm kit! I'm more partial to their late war outfits with the camo. But you look slick as shit dude keep up the good work. People like you make me wanna get my 101st kit back together again lol

Actually, you should say "Ich bin ein deutscher Fallschirmjaeger." There's a knack to blousing the FJ trousers correctly too - tie the cords off around the trouser hem over the tops of your boots (but not super tight) and then tuck the hems up and inside (as if you were using blousing bands). The old FJ used to actually wet the bottoms of their trouser legs, soap the insides and then ram a thin board down them to make them wider and floppier.

(I used to do FJ re-enactment and those tricks were taught to me by a couple of old FJ vets who stayed on in England after the war).
