From my understanding, Buying or selling Airsoft Guns is Illegal (Not Parts). Only the possession is legal. Receivers, Grenades, Magazines with fake bullets etc etc are supposed to be illegal which is covered in Canadian Memorandum from Customs.
Im not trying to sound like a law prof (which im definately not) im just trying to help with the knowledge that ive come across (If im wrong, please correct me, cause i have a large interest in this as well.)
Basically I had done a bit of research of my own because i was interested in importing my own guns for my team (I had talked to a few brokers and customs officers about this). In order to do this, you must hold a Firearms Aquisition + Business License, which can only be issued by a firearms sales officer. From what i hear, they will only issue these if you have a REALLY good reason. (This will be difficult, since its illegal to sell airsoft guns). My assumption is that ASC Armoury is doing the same thing. Though they somehow managed to get a firearms business licence (Which I would REALLLY like to know how :D) They no longer import Airsoft Guns. They Avoid Receivers and im sure they have a very big difficulty getting mags with fake bullets in. They only sell the parts and accessories (which is not illegal).
This is just my understanding of how everything works from talking to different people. I could be entirely wrong, so please correct me if im wrong because this topic interests me greatly.
Good luck to you guys, hope this helped :D
