Shemaghs are easy to find, almost every surplus store sells them. Check the sellers/gear/clothing someone might be selling one.

Jesus mate, I've seen them in at Harrison's the two times I was there. I got mine at Dave's in New West. Then today I got a couple Quarpel hats and a CADPAT net...plus a the start of my CADPAT combats :D

boonie, or ballcap
I never have and never will wear a helmet.
save for a clown suit, nothing stands out in the bush like a helmet. It is the single easiest thing to spot, even at huge distances.
belclava, nope. just foggs, overheats, and its a solid color.
for CQB, I wear my ballcap and a smile. BBs hurt, thats why we play.
IMHO, if you wear armor for the look, well, dress-up isnt my thing, but ok, thats fine...so long as it doesnt negativly effect performance. but if you wear armor/gear for protection....maby playing a game with hi-speed automatic weapons firing solid projectiles isnt for you...maby lazer quest or some videogame.
at CQB, a belclava isnt gonna offer much help.

I would beg to differ, while it's going to sting either way, I'd rather have something soft cushion the impact of a BB going straight to my tooth. There's less chance of chipping that way.

Yea, helmets can stand out a bit(in the woods), but you can also throw scrim onto them.

Also, just because something is a solid color doesn't mean it still can't help you blend into the enviroment, unless its hot pink or something.

I've got a cam net sewn together for my helmet, complete with para-cord drawstring.

A helmet with the apropriate cover won't stand out in the bush. Solid black helmet will. OD a little less.

I use my helmet when I play heavy or CQB. I don't use it for protection, but for autenticity. The protection is give is welcome in CQB when you are running in a basement and a large lead pipe get in your way... Saved my head about 10 time in a single game.

Your wearing the helmet all wrong. :banghead:

I use a Boonie or a skull cap. Also use an ESS turbo fan googles

how do those goggles work ?i was thinking about buying them

FOX_111 November 14th, 2005 21:03

It's just a fan that circulate the air inside your goggle so it don't fog up.

Work really well.

In most case, a good pair of goggle and anti-fog spray will work nicely. That if you don't want to spend the 200+$ for the ESS with fan.
