The camera holster its called a spider holster it may be a better base to start with and then mode it to your gun.

Love the idea.

Spider holster or DIY, both works.

S&S Precision has basically perfected this:

those are awesome! and way better than my diy version of the clip. But also way out of my capabilities... lol

MultipleParadox April 4th, 2015 15:10

FMA makes a repro of the S&S weaponlink
I'm planning on trying out one

All things being equal.. Great job and kudos for OP for designing and building this retention system. If you can design something and fabricate it and it works... awesome.

there is a chinese thing that look like this
T Cyclops Magic Clip All-purpose tactical Clip

But I'd trust your build quality over that any day

that looks incredible!... Yeah, I love it. But I cant justify the price for these things, I was thinking if I did ever make a bunch of these Id probably sell them in the $10--$20 range

my main issue with the FMA one is that it is Rail attached, and works more like a weapons catch then a sling replacement.

Which is why I like the clip Idea, hang the whole gun off your belt/vest while you climb a ladder swap to pistol or have to do a task with 2 hands.

I'd be down for that, making one compatible with the molle plates would be simple enough.

I am sure someone is going to make a buffer tube adapter for it seeing it is popular and sold out.

The Fma mount works flawlessly I use it on my pack when I carry a second primary on my back pack out on the field. I had it mounted on my belt for my mp9 for half a season to keep it from flopping around on a single point sling for my secondary. It does have some drawbacks hard bouncing running things bounce out occasionally. But I love it when I don't want a sling.

Heres some pics of the 2 pcs in CAD

I think that m going to keep the clip part the way it is. This way it can still go on a belt or molle... Maybe i even rock two clips, one on my belt and carrier so i can have 2 different places to holster lol...

MultipleParadox April 6th, 2015 16:47

Designing in space I see! :P

Let us know if you ever want to make and sell them at a reasonable price, I'd take one for sure, potentially 2-3 pending price :P
