The Hi capa doesn't but it's present in both my TM 1911 & MEU. While I metaled out both guns I transferred that latch over as well and can take pictures tonight.

I worked on a friends tm 1911 and it also had this metal plate on the inside of the slide

I just got in stock a VFC replica of the old school Surefire 310R (formerly known as Laser Products 310R):

For anyone that knows their history on the 1911 platform, this light is a descendent of the Surefire IMPL that was employed by DET-1 in their development of the MEU(SOC) sidearm.

Unfortunately, all of the above lights are now discontinued, and used examples can be found on the internet for upwards of $2000 for an IMPL... but at least we have VFC making much more affordable clones for us. :D

At this time, this is basically the best option you can go with, for mounting a light to a non-railed 1911.

My advice,
Save up your money, but a TM. When you get a feel for it get Illusion to upgrade it for you.

Or do what I did, skip the testing period and go right to having Illusion upgrade it for you :D

Needless to say, I went through a lot of painstaking research on the topic, and uncovered a lot of really cool shit about MEU's. There's a lot more reading that can be found. The most interesting of the models is the Kimber ICQB (Interim Close Quarters Battle Pistol), which was the grandfather of both the MEU(SOC) as we currently know it, and the current day Kimber Warrior. Both of those models draw their lineage to the Kimber ICQB, which is the exact model that employed the use of the IMPL (Integrated Military Pistol Light).

The early model MEU(SOC) was the follow up to the DET-1 Kimber ICQB that used a mix of the Laser Products 310R, and the IMPL, depending on what the units happened to have in their armoury at the time.

There was a bridge where the early model MEU's also used the Surefire 310R by some Marine Expeditionary Units that were trialing parts. In that case, if one were replicating that particular era, there stands a realistic load out in the airsoft world, as there was a time when VFC made a metal body kit that replicated the early model MEU. Sadly, that kit has been since been discontinued, but if one can be found, and combined with this VFC replica of the Laser Products 310R, that would be an awesome build.

It's a shame about that metal body kit, because for the price, it was actually one of the nicest kits I've ever had the pleasure of installing.

That VFC light is fantastic. I'm running it on one my MEUs right now. It adds a fair amount of heft to a fully FMU gun. It's nice and bright in stock form. I'd like to say that it's not PERFECT, however. It drops in on Shooter's Design and Marui just fine, but Guarder took a slight bit of sanding, due to slightly alignment differences on the frame where the slide catch hole is, and where it's set up to go through on the light. To be fair, this is because of Guarder's shoddy measurements, not the VFC light. The sanding is super easy to do, and worth the effort. Although would be nice if there was a pressure pad for it, but I don't find this an issue most of the time.

My brothers loading nozzle for his kwa 1911 broke after 100 shots and he just got it last week haha
