I cant imagine with just the umg supressor that is so rare that, that muffled sound would be obtained. There has to be something else involved. internal padding/washers etc.

Im going to make a ghetto silencer Steven Segal style in underseige with a pop bottle :)

No but really, theres no where I can find a UMG suppressor unless i get lucky in the classifieds. I have yet to come accross someone who has customized another make/model to fit. Curse g&g for that.

Same principal behind that Noveske flashider thing available for AEGs. You know, the one that can be adjusted so you can get a loud crack sound when firing?

I tried the pop bottle trick years ago with a buddy of mine and a .22cal rifle, it was fucking loud!

There was a guy selling a G&G UMP in the classifieds that came with a custome made one that he had made for it. Don't remember the user but I believe he was on the Rangers team maybe. Ask him where he got it made or if he still has it perhaps.

Sorry was mistaken, it wasn't a suppressor it was an extension to cover the longer tightbore he had installed

Well at least this hasn't turned into a debate on whether it's called a Silencer or Suppressor :p

Gosh these floors are sticky.

I just came.

The only way your going to get a suppressor that works for your AEG is by taking a pillow and wrapping it around the receiver.

Amos July 17th, 2010 01:41

That's not true at all...

Helical gears with a perfect shim job, a smooth set of bearings, a properly comm lathe'd motor, MASK sorbothane cylinder head, MASK Sorbothane piston head with a custom made air-break..

and a nice long suppressor WITHOUT an inner barrel extending into it.

I've build several AEG's that you can't hear they're firing at you from the muzzle side at 40 feet.

Sewing machine sound?

ThunderCactus July 20th, 2010 12:54

My UMP was pretty damn quiet, you really had to listen for it outdoors and sounded totally unique
Amos knows how quiet it was lol
