Oh, I can do the accent, son... It sometimes bubbles up when I'm "explaining" something to my staff... :D
"... And I want my scalps!" |
Got that AGM MP40 from Cottoni I was looking at... and he threw in a UKArms springer M712 for FREE! :D
And 2 lefty 1916 holsters, plus 2 each canvas and leather US 1911 mag pouches! http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/685...arsubguns2.jpg Yay! |
Sweet! Where did you picked up those lefty holsters finally?

Good little setup Frozen.
And glory to Tom Han... huh Miller :D |
Just received 10 110rnd King Arms mags for the AGM MP40...
BUT THEY DON'T FIT!!! :( They insert, but don't seem to make it to the mag-catch. Anyone aware of this problem? Know of a mod/fix? Or am I screwed and need a different brand of Magazine (not that there's much out there...)? |
I posted this on our forum this week, but here's a huge ammount of pictures from WW2airsoft.fr You need to make an account, but it's worth it.

My bad... thought you posted a response to my MP40 mag dilemna...
Cool pics, though. :D |
Yeah sorry, your reply just reminded me of this thread :P
|
Anyone have any more input on those KA MP40 mags? I was thinking of ordering some soon for my sten.
|

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...mp40magmod.jpg Since I bought these mags a year ago, 2 of them broke out of 5. After the modification, they fed well but I have since replaced them by AGM low-caps which are much more durable. |
Quote:
Thanks, BoGrain! EDIT: For anyone else who tries this, but it doesn't seem to work, once the mod is done and reassembled, the mags will need a good, sharp smack on the base to seat them. But once in, they're nice and solid! |
Putting some new gear to work, including a new, better fitting belt and suspenders from At The Front...

Nicely done!
|
Thanks, man! Now I need some canvas gaiters to cover up my modern boots...;)
I figure not bad, considering the pants and shirt are Old Navi, and the jacket is from Mark's Work Wearhouse... :D |
Nice kit!
How much was shipping for ATF? They quoted me some incredibly bullshit shipping costs. Like 50$ for a 85$ jacket by EMS... |
Quote:
|
They actually offered me both.
And EMS is supposed to be much cheaper than UPS normally, no? Anyway, <3 WPG :D |
AGM sten with (shitty) king arms mags. Needed to file around the bb stopper on the mag (holes were too close to the right, wouldn't even align properly with the hop-up)

Details please? |
Tanaka kar98?
TM thompson? Agm mp40, mp44? (did you mod the mags?) and a maruzen p38? |
Lol, sry, forgot the details.
Tanaka Kar 98k, TM M1A1 Marushin GBB MP40 AGM MP44 WA Walther P38 NBB |

It's how it was "back in the day"! :D
Awesome collection by the way! |
Twin 1, its a full GBB, so yeah similar to the M4's and AK's. The scope is a replica of the ZF 41 which had a very long eye relief, designated as a sharp shooters scope.
Mags are all hi-caps, no time to mod them yet. Waiting for G&G to get their asses in gear and release the G98 now to add to the collection, and missed the MG 42 that was for sale...:( |
Some "Real" WWII lol
The No.4 is a 1944 with the Canadian C broad arrow stamped on it. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net..._2129885_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net..._7702075_n.jpg |

Hey, if I can stick a 1911A1 in a Coyote Brown SERPA leg-drop, why shouldn't you stick a Hi-Capa in a leather 1916 holster? :D
I like the look anyway. |
Quote:
|
Boyso, soaking the holster in water and wrapping the holster in plastic (saran wrap / glad large sandwich bag) before insertion works too. The leather holster should take the shape of the pistol in 24 to 48 hours.
|
Quote:
But once the holster is all dried out, then give it a heapin' helpin' of oil and Dubbin, just to make it beautiful and water-resistant. |
What I did too. But I had to cut a few sewing spots near the trigger guard.
|
Brought out the M1A1 again today...

Sicily! Damn tex those are nice pics! Are those Khakis/OD real?
Ps: yellow gloves :D |
Real? Yes, they actually exist... ;) But seriously folks, no they're just Old Navy stuff; I saw some OD herringbon twill cargo pants and jacket at a Gap Factory Store, but they weren't on sale enough to get past my wife. :(
Yeah, yeah, yellow gloves. They're plain old Watson deerskin gloves from Mark's. I'm slowly getting them sun-bleached. They're not nearly as bad as they started out, though. |

I got the chance to fire an M1 this summer when I was in Calgary for my sister's wedding. It was awesome. I don't think I would be able to hit the broad side of a barn at 50yrds without some practice though, as it had a hell of a kick and those iron sights were tiny! |
Got my King Arms Wood Kit installed on the CYMA M1A1! Yay!
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/9...dsep242011.jpg |
So yeah, you didn't have any issues putting it on? Even the sling mounts?
As for the holster like I said in the other thread, buy yourself some quality Neatsfoot oil as well as dublin. Should look kick ass! |
Well, it's been Dubbin'd, as well as a little Roots leather conditioner. But yeah, needs more...
One screw on the front of the rear sling mount was stubborn, going in at an angle, and the world's softest metal they made the screws out of got chewed up. But it's halfway or more in, and holding, until I find a decent wood screw of the proper length to replace it with. Aaaand... The set screw for the grip wasn't long enough to reach once the wood grip was in place. Buuuut... I noticed one of the ssling holder screws from the plastic guard was longer, and the right size... Soooo... That's what's holding the pistol grip in place, and tightening it up to the frame, with no need for alterations! And today it shall be gamed! :D |
Sweet I'll try it at home.
|
No! Don't!!!
It turns out I broke the damned thing. More info later, but I busted the frame/mount for the motor. |
Uo-oh.
|
Just got myself an inissued WW2-dated Overcoat on ebay. Should be ready for any Bastogne game now :)
So how's the Tommy going, Tex? |
Anyone hear any news on the G&G K98?
|
Nope.
|
The Tommy is in Limbo until I have some time to research, and figure out options (repair, replace, shitload of epoxy, whole new gun...). Might end up a winter project.
|
Dang :/
Send a PM if you need any help. |

http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...f/100_0028.jpg (Excuse the mess :)) VSR-K98 mod. Just need to finish up the rear sight block piece (so far the thorn in myside for this project, biggest pain in the ass) And then the bolt. Taken me about a week to do. So far so good. |
WOW!
|
i have a Thompson but want a rifle aswell pref an Allie side one but i hear they are far and few between i think my option is pretty much get a m14 and mod it to be a M1 my question is what has to be done to do that? just get a mag that fits flush with the receiver?

Get on our website already! We have tons of info, at the ready :) |
For the M14 mags, either ACM M500 mags or shotgun shells.
Please note that it is not an "easy" conversion. |

I'm sorry but it does exist!

I need a Luger and an electric MP40. |

It's not so bad, get the occasional misfire due to mag alignment, but great so far. Let me tell you... It's a different world fighting against somebody using full auto or even semi, when you have a B.A. I have tons of respect to all those soldiers who did. Even 2 soldiers using B.A's vs 1 guy is... interesting :D Do-able, but 'interesting' Quote:

It out ranges my STG hah. Albeit the STG needs some love. The biggest "problem" with the AGM is they are so hit and miss. I can recall 4-5 I've heard of, that are wet dreams.. The others, not so much. We'll see how the Luger performs after so many rounds. As it stands, it shoots just under my STG, but again that needs some heavy love obviously :( Just about ~60 feet with .23's, hopup off. I'm itching for a G43. Really contemplating it. Base it off of an M14. Get it as loosely look-alike as possible, and work my way up from there. Need more! |
Been working on my MP40, attempting to give it a blued look without using actual chemical blue stuff.
So far I think it looks like a mix of old parkarized look and slight blueing, could just be me though. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...f/IMG_1506.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...f/IMG_1507.jpg Either way, so far so good.. I'm happy with it. |
I've sent my order to ATF, will see if they have everything I need. Joining the ranks of WW2 again!
|
Hey BYF, whatya getting?
|
Just going to get their SS package (pending some questions). I don't think this modern stuff is entirely up my ally. I'm gonna jump back in with what I know and take the rest of this year to research the Canadian kits a bit more.

would it be odd to have chinese / japenese load outs in these scenarios? :)
did some searching, looks like they wear geared by Germans helmets, rifles, grenades and even tanks.. sorry not trying to hijack :) |
I have a full USMC kit and an Alamo Scouts kit waiting for contact with the IJA.
Saw your pic, KMT was supplied and advised by the Germans in the 1930's. That doesn't really fit into WW2. WW2 and Post WW2 Chinese Nationalists were mostly supplied by the US and Britain. Google "X Force in Burma" for Chinese Nationalist fighting in WWII. |
Looking great Kaos!
Can't wait to try this on my Thompson too! |
|
Got the G&G K98 in yesterday, yippe!
My babies are growing :D http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...nsgunsguns.jpg Just a quick pic, nothing overly special. |
Slightly more authentic looking then my last WWII outing...
http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/a...Aug1920125.jpg |
Should I post the photos from the Military Muster?
|
Go for it! I have some pics as well that I'll be posting. :)
|
Afrika corp motorcycle is awesome!
|
Getting somewhat disappointed / tired of wwii reproduction gear. Attempting to acquire more authentic items for my wwii kits.
Cooking Tin, Wooden Canteen and Belt Buckle are some of the authentic period items acquired recently to upgrade my late war FJ kit. http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/t...0-23162707.jpg |
I've been considering going that route myself. Basic web gear is easy enough to find. Only downfall is the cost aspect of it.
|
you guys wouldnt happen to know where to get a panzerschreck would you?
|
Authentic WWII German deals aren't as available as WWII US gear "deals" but some of the gear items aren't too crazy.
Maybe I am just being picky. Picked up an authentic Spinter Zeltbahn and tent pole set too for an ok price. It's in the mail currently. |
Quote:
The are called coconut canteen or most offen called. These canteens with the chemically impregnated pressed wood bodies were developed for tropical use but mostly they saw service in Europe post D-day. |
Quote:
I know you can get a real deal 1st or 2nd model de activated Panzerfaust 30 in decent shape for about $1K. Panzerschreck? No clue about getting one in Canada. |
Quote:
I mis-matched my"coconut" canteen with a 1942 cup (riveted, not spot welded handle and olive green) to give it a continental late war flavor. Wooden canteens generally have the more conical black drinking cups. |

LOL, its ok, I don't need originals.
