RM, Guarder tan frame looks kinda shiny... and more tan than I recall my TM FDE frame looks. Is it actually tan? And does it feel as plastic-y (out of the box) as it looks?

For whatever reason the pic looks like that....the frame doesn't actually look that shiny. The hue is slight different from the TM. It is no more or less plasticy compare to the stock....

Is there any chance in hell that you could fit that on a G23? Seriously, i've been craving a semi auto carbine like that for ages.

Damn!

Qlong August 16th, 2010 11:44

You sure can.

Looks like there are some differences, bulging logo seems to fit the fire selector switch.

How is the build on that clone? Wobbly at all? Are there any internal metal reinforcements at all?

You can put pretty much any Glock onto the stock I have since there is a slight bulge underneath the trade makes (with some minor modifications to the Glock selector switch). I am currently modifying my Glock 18C with a threaded barrel and suppressor to give my other stock that suppressed SMG look.

There are some minor differences between the one I posted and the one you posted. Yes, the one with the bulging logo can fit a select fire Glock, but you will have to grind down about 2mm off the selector switch for it to function properly. The standard Glock selector switch is too high and drags on the inside of the stock.

As for the build, it is great, very sturdy and very robust for a polymer stock kit. In regards to wobble, there is none. There are so many screws on this thing to tighten that if there is any wobble, just tighten a few screws and the wobble is gone. In regards to metal reinforcements, there are none, the stock is completely polymer.

The down side about installing a select fire Glock in this stock is that you cannot change the fire selector as there is no opening to change your selector.

Would a KJW fit with the TM kit? I'm speaking pretty much uneducated here, but the KJW's are clones of the TM glocks, right?

I am not 100% sure, but a good way to answer this question is put your KJW Glock in a Serpa holster. If it fits in the Serpa, then yes, it will fit in the carbine stock. If the KJW Glock does not fit in a Serpa holster, then no, it will not fit in the carbine stock.

Strelok August 16th, 2010 14:33

Hmm, I dont have one of those available :(. Damn.

What is the deciding factor though? Width of the frame and slide? I could easily take measurements if so. See if they would compare with a tm.

sharky1416 August 16th, 2010 19:39

KJW's are supposed to be TM clones. You notice similarities when you disassemble each gun.
I used to own a KJW G23 awhile back and I picked up a G17 Blackhawk! Serpa holster. It fit like a glove even though there was that extra length difference from a G23 to a G17. So, assuming you did have a G23 Serpa it would fit.
If what Overkill is saying about the KJW Glock fitting the Carbine frame by using a Serpa holster to verify is true, then this should work...

TM Glock 18C GBB, now with SD slide+barrel set, also installed the Guarder steel spring guide and 150% recoil spring.

I was thinking about the SD Slide and Barrel set, but I didn't know if the cost over the PGC set was worth it. What do you think RM?

RacingManiac August 17th, 2010 21:54

It does come with a set of machined aluminum sights, which is not present in the PGC set. But tbh I don't know if its that much better than PGC. It does go together without any fitting, which is good....

AngelusNex August 18th, 2010 17:01

Well got my PGC Metal barrel/slide today to replace the old plastic ones on my KSC G18c, decided to upgrade from the c to a full size, Jealous?

Sorry for the crappy picks, all i got is my blackberry for photos atm.

RM, that's good to hear. I'll wait a bit longer to choose, but if I go with the PGC I'll let you know.
