Your serial number is a Version 1 gun.

You need to contact VFC for the latest version of hop-up chamber and loading plate. They sell for around 10-20$ for the replacement parts.

After that has been replaced you wont have any feeding issues ever.

Or you can modify the loading plate and hopup chamber yourself, it is a real simple fix if you have a dermal tool. :D

Hey Sequential,

How do you know it's a version 1 gun? Mine says KE 010000, does it make mine v1 or v2?

Thanks.

Honestly this VFC MP5 is amazing after the upgrades.... The chassis is really damn strong and nicely made. The sound it makes on propane is unbelievable, along with the nice crisp blowback!

After a long fix of realizing how to optimize the guns performance, the original type 2 loading nozzle is the best for the gun.

With that nozzle I have never had ANY issues.

When you say "Type 2" above, did you mean version 2?

Thanks.

Version 2, yes sorry. Version 2 is made out of nylon-fiber. The part where the mag seal sits on the lip of the loading nozzle is repositioned and the hole inside the nozzle is larger fitting a larger bulb spring. The bulb is the same though.

Yup if you are in the 10,000 serials then you are version 2, some parts might not be changed yet though. Take a picture of your hop-up chamber. I can easily tell for you.

Do you think I might have gotten the last piece of version1? LoL.. Coz' that would be both epic and bummer, since I purposefully waited for the 2nd version, and still end up getting the 1st version.

You have a version 2 hop-up chamber but version 1 loading plate.

You need a new loading plate. # VFC-HOP-MP5G-ZN02

Notice how there are small cuts on the bottom of the lip for the bb to slide through.

I guess I got the transition from gen1 to gen2... The 10,000th one on the line. epic.. I guess my mag is still the gen1 coz' it leaks (outlet) out of the box.. Haven't even fired one shot since I'm waiting for the Azimuth bolt guide to arrive from WGC. And I have the Crusader loading plate in the package as well. I wonder if there's a difference in terms of the nozzle between gen1 and gen2?

The navy limited edition one you talked about, is the navy flash hider fixed or removable? How about the lower receiver? It looks like the regular A2 or A3 one.
I have my A2 and add the navy flash hider, also change the fixed stock to retractable become A3. I may think about to get the navy lower receiver too, that looks good with navy flash hider tough. Not only this , I really want to get a K model! But it's hard, really hard!

Is anybody experiencing a wobble, 0.5cm back and forth play on the cocking handle (in closed bolt position)? And if u do, what did u do to fix it?

On the mp5sd3, does the plastic front grip supposed to wobble as it clamps freely on the tube?

Thanks

N_Force November 21st, 2013 16:54

I only have the A2/A3 and I belive A and SD model both the cocking handle design should be the same. I had the same situation too but it's not a big deal. I opened the cocking tube cap and removed the screw, used a piece of foam, just long enough to fill the space to make it not wobbling. It works!
